The Broadband Regional Account Manager leads pre-sales and post-sales engagements, develops customer relationships, drives sales strategies, and influences strategic decisions while managing complex projects in a telecom environment.
- Lead pre-sales and post-sales engagements focused on Nokia's Fixed Networks portfolio as regional overlay customer interface.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across operator roles (CxO, engineering, operations, marketing).
- Partner with regional account managers and sales engineers to identify customer challenges and deliver innovative solutions, driving orders effectively.
- Articulate and promote Nokia's vision on cutting-edge technologies and solutions to enhance customer engagement.
- Position Nokia as a thought leader in the industry by communicating key technological developments to customers.
- Support the maintenance of an accurate sales forecast in Salesforce.com, identifying high, medium, and low probability opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to craft tailored proposals for solutions and services that meet customer needs.
- Commit to ongoing training to enhance sales skills and deepen product knowledge, embracing 30-50% travel for client interactions.
• Accountable for large / medium customers at global or regional level across multiple portfolios or specific portfolio, carrying significant sales target.
• Identifies and develops significant business opportunities by interpreting critical internal or external business information such as customer needs, Nokia's portfolio, competitive landscape, etc.
• Builds a long-term relationship with customer's senior executives using the knowledge of industry and competitive landscape to contributes to the corporate goals and to increase own effectiveness.
• Drives sales, pre-sales and other functions based on in-depth organisational understanding (Mode of Operations, processes, etc) and develops competitive and innovative offers that deliver considerable value to customers and Nokia.
• Actively participates in and contributes to pricing strategy and contract negotiations which generate mid-term business impact.
• Contributes to process / product / service improvements that help to sustain competitive advantage of Nokia.
• Influences the LoA process from strategic business and commercial perspective.
• Influences strategic decisions within own defined scope (portfolio, geography, etc) that affect the performance of the entire Customer Team (CT) or Global Customer Business Team (G/CBT) or even broader organisation.
• Solves highly complex or novel problems based on sophisticated analytical thought and complex judgment, and develops unique sales approaches which differentiates our offering.
• Acts as the most senior sales expert, typically at a global or regional level, serves as best practice / quality resource and is an acknowledged authority both within and outside own organisational unit.
• Leads a functional team or cross-functional business team within a defined scope (portfolio, geography, etc) with considerable resource requirements, risk, and complexity.
Qualifications
You have:
- At least 7 years of telecom experience in positioning Broadband solutions in a territory environment, focusing on direct sales to customers such as Rural service providers, Utilities, Electric Coops, State, Local, and Municipalities.
- Detailed knowledge of the Nokia Fixed Networks products and solutions.
- Strong knowledge of the competitive telecom industry.
- Demonstrated experience in forecasting and managing opportunities using Salesforce.com.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a complex selling environment, driving consistent strategy across multiple customer sets.
Proven strategic thinking to leverage technical, marketing, end-user, and industry insights for mutual success.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Knowledge of Nokia IP or Optical products and solutions.
- Prior experience working with consultants for service providers, utilities, and municipalities.
- Ability to take initiative and lead in the absence of direct supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
