Brand Marketing Internship

North- Hybrid- Troy, MI

Job Summary:

The North internship program is intended to create a beneficial relationship and growth opportunity for collegiate students interested in the FinTech industry. As a part of this program, the Intern(s) will meet with marketing leaders and be mentored by team members on their respective teams. 

The Marketing Intern will be assigned a project to be completed throughout the duration of their internship and will present the final week of the program. The intern will work on real-world projects such as: website reviews, identifying content trends and ideas, outreach campaigns, updating directory listings, and responding to community forums. 

Core business hours are 9 am - 6 pm Monday through Friday. Schedule to be determined by the hiring manager.

What you'll be doing:

  • Meet with mentor with day to day questions and project updates  

  • Complete and present project assigned by leader during final week of internship

  • Collaborate with team members and interns across the organization

  • Participate in regular team meetings and 1:1s with leader 

  • Gain an understanding of the industry and the North brand

  • Attend company program events (Lunch ‘n’ Learns, New Team Member Training, etc.)

  • Must be willing to commit to the intern program for the full durations of the program

What we need from you:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program at an accredited college or university with a focus on Marketing, Communications or Public Relations.

  • Results oriented and ability to work independently on projects with deadlines

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels within and outside the company

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office or G-Suite

  • Previous intern experience a plus

  • Internship Duration: 6 Weeks

  • Travel Requirements: None

  • Schedule: TBD with Hiring Manager

  • Hours per Week: 24
