As an Associate Brand Manager on the Global Publishing team for VALORANT, you’ll support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns that bring the game to life for players around the world. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Brand Management, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to help deliver high-quality, player-focused campaigns and content that stay true to the VALORANT brand.

This role is a great opportunity to grow your brand and publishing skills while learning how global campaigns are built, executed, and measured at Riot.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and execution of global marketing campaigns, helping manage timelines, asset delivery, and coordination across teams.
  • Assist in creating campaign briefs and player journey maps, incorporating insights and data from player research.
  • Partner with Creative and Production teams to ensure assets are delivered on time and meet brand standards.
  • Coordinate with regional publishing teams to localize and adapt global campaigns for regional audiences.
  • Track campaign performance and compile learnings in partnership with the Insights team.
  • Help maintain VALORANT’s brand guidelines and ensure brand consistency across all player touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with the Growth team to support development of user acquisition assets and campaigns.
Required Qualifications:
  • 1–3 years of experience in a marketing, brand management, or publishing role in gaming, entertainment, or related sectors.
  • Experience supporting or contributing to integrated marketing campaigns in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • Strong project management skills — organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with creative, production, and growth teams to deliver on campaign milestones.
  • Familiarity with live service or competitive games; shooter experience is a strong plus.
  • Comfortable working with international teams or partners on multi-market campaigns.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with VALORANT or other Shooter titles a strong plus
  • Experience working on games with large and passionate audience bases
  • You are up to date with the gaming and entertainment industry’s newest trends and technologies, especially mobile and/or shooter games

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about the experiences of players, this could be the role for you!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
