JOB OVERVIEW:

Emerging Business is where Blue Diamond builds what’s next. The Brand Manager sits at the intersection of Brand Management and Innovation, helping turn new and emerging businesses into meaningful, scalable sources of growth.
This role combines business ownership, brand strategy, commercial problem-solving and innovation. You’ll build a deep understanding of business performance, identify what will unlock growth, and lead cross-functional teams to act. You’ll shape strategy, influence investment decisions, strengthen in-market execution and evolve the portfolio - using the full marketing mix to build stronger businesses.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

What You’ll Do:

  • Build a deep understanding of the business, connecting consumer and customer, syndicated and financial performance to understand what is driving results and where opportunities exist.
  • Diagnose performance and recommend solutions, using Product, Price, Promotion and Place as interconnected levers to address challenges such as velocity, distribution, assortment, positioning, pricing and execution.
  • Shape business strategy and annual plans, developing recommendations for KPIs, growth priorities, innovation and renovation, marketing investment, and key risks and opportunities; partner with Sales and Finance on volume, promotion, trade investment and P&L implications.
  • Set marketing priorities and lead execution in partnership with expert teams, ensuring activity is grounded in the business need and delivers against clear objectives. Directly lead packaging development and the core selling story and materials that bring the business strategy to customers.
  • Evolve the portfolio, identifying opportunities for renovation, optimization and expansion and leading initiatives through Blue Diamond’s Stage Gate process from opportunity through commercialization.
  • Lead cross-functionally, bringing together Sales, Finance, Insights, Operations/Supply Chain, Procurement, Shopper Marketing, Project Management and external partners to make decisions, solve problems and move the business forward.
  • Evaluate results and adjust course, continually assessing what is working, what is not and where the business should act differently.

  • N/A

MIMIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of CPG Brand Management, Marketing or related commercial experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to use syndicated and financial data to diagnose business performance and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Practical understanding of marketing fundamentals - Product, Price, Promotion and Place - and how they influence business performance.
  • Experience in brand positioning, portfolio development, commercialization, and go-to-market execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional work and influence without direct authority.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
  • Travel: Approximately 5-10%; hybrid work model

PREFERRED:

  • Experience with emerging businesses, business renovation or new business development; exposure to P&L management, annual planning, consumer insights, innovation and/or agency management.
