The Task At Hand:
The Brand Manager, Channel Development reports directly to the Senior Brand Manager, Marketing and is responsible for driving growth, profitability, and brand equity of Once Upon a Farm within Club (Costco, Sam’s Club, BJ’s), Alternative Channels, and Ecommerce. This role partners closely with Sales, Innovation, Finance, and Supply Chain to develop tailored strategies and execution plans that deliver against both brand and customer objectives. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with a bias for action, strong business acumen, and a deep understanding of the dynamics of these unique channels and retail environments.
In This Role, You Will:
- Own Brand Strategy & Channel Execution
- Manage channel-level brand plans, innovation launches, and cross-functional execution ensuring alignment with the broader brand and business objectives.
- Develop and execute channel-specific marketing plans that drive trial, repeat, and loyalty within club shoppers.
- Manage innovation, renovation, and packaging development tailored to club formats (e.g., multi-packs, value sizes, seasonal rotations), alt channels, and ecommerce.
- Lead through Business Management
- Own P&L accountability for club SKUs; partner with Finance to forecast and deliver revenue, margin, and trade objectives.
- Analyze performance metrics including POS, shipment data, and member insights to inform business decisions.
- Collaborate with Sales on promotional strategy, item setup, and annual business reviews.
- Monitor competitive activity and recommend proactive responses.
- Be a Cross-Functional Leader
- Partner with Operations and Demand Planning to ensure supply continuity and service levels for club accounts.
- Lead cross-functional project teams for new item launches, product updates, and seasonal initiatives.
- Work closely with Creative and Shopper Marketing to deliver compelling, on-brand packaging and in-club materials.
- Leverage Customer & Consumer Insights
- Identify white space opportunities and optimize club pack offerings.
- Translate shopper behavior and member demographics into actionable go-to-market strategies.
- Manage Innovation & Commercialization
- Manage end-to-end commercialization for club innovation, including business cases, concept validation, packaging design, and post-launch analysis.
- Adapt core brand positioning to meet the unique needs of the club shopper and retailer.
- Identify opportunities for channel-exclusive SKUs or formats and manage club, alt. and e-tail pipeline.
In This Role, You’ll Bring With You:
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Marketing, Innovation, Business (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of related experience in brand management within the CPG industry.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints and adapt to the unexpected.
- Strong understanding of the club channel business model, including rotation timing, pallet configuration, pricing, and margin structure.
- Proven success leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-oriented approach.
- Strong proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Solid knowledge of Outlook, Slack, Monday.com, and other professional platforms.
- Proactive self-starter attitude with a sense of urgency to achieve results.
- Ability to quickly adapt, demonstrating flexibility in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment.
- Energetic and level-headed approach, excelling in problem-solving.
- Ability to operate in a team environment with a “can do” attitude.

- Up to 10% travel required: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we “Farmers” do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year. Anticipate possible travel up to a few times each quarter.
- Previous exposure to cross-functional work between Sustainability and Marketing preferred.
- Must reside in the United States to be considered for this position.

Compensation:
- Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt
- The anticipated salary range for this position is $110,000.00 to $140,000.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses, stipends, and role-specific perks.
