About the Company
AstroForge is building the world’s first commercial asteroid mining company. We design, build, and operate deep-space spacecraft capable of reaching, characterizing, and operating at near-Earth and deep-space asteroids. Backed by significant private investment and supported by active NASA and Department of Defense engagements, AstroForge is pioneering a new class of dual-use deep-space missions spanning planetary defense, space domain awareness, and in-space resource utilization.
Role Overview
AstroForge is looking for a Brand Designer & Social Media Strategist to help scale our marketing and communications reach. This is a hands-on role for someone who can define creative direction, produce high-quality design work, and keep our social channels sharp, active, and on-brand. You’ll use your marketing, communications, and design skills to translate highly technical work into clear, compelling storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Help shape AstroForge’s visual style across social, web, events, and brand materials
- Help shape AstroForge’s social media pipeline from planning through publishing and performance review
- Design high-impact creative content for mission updates, partnerships, press moments, recruiting, and brand storytelling
- Translate complex space, engineering, and mining concepts into clear, visually compelling content
- Build and maintain brand systems, templates, and design standards
- Maintain the editorial calendar across key social channels
- Write and refine social copy that matches AstroForge’s voice
- Partner across leadership, engineering, recruiting, and BD to turn internal work into external stories
- Identify timely opportunities to insert AstroForge into relevant conversations
- Support major announcements and campaigns with fast-turn creative assets
Qualifications
- 3+ years in graphic design, brand design, social media, or a related creative role
- Strong portfolio including brand work, social content, and stellar graphic design
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Strong writing instincts and ability to draft concise, platform-native copy
- Ability to balance technical accuracy with clarity and tone
- Working knowledge of Figma, Canva, Notion, social scheduling/reporting tools, Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, and Blender or similar 3D tools
- Work onsite full-time at our HQ in Seal Beach, CA
- Occasional travel to support events and/or conferences
Preferred
- Experience at a startup, creative agency, or in-house brand team
- Experience translating technical or industrial subjects into clear, compelling visual storytelling
- Familiarity with motion graphics, video editing, or 3D visualization workflows
- Strong understanding of platform-native content across X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and short-form video
- Ability to manage multiple projects, move quickly, and maintain a high bar for taste and execution

Salary
$80,250 - $105,500
