Important note: Data shows that men typically apply when meeting 3/10 requirements, while women often wait until it’s 10/10. We encourage you to apply if you see a strong (not necessarily perfect) fit.

Your Role

We’re seeking a Brand & Content Lead to join our team. You will own how FutureFit AI shows up in the world: voice, story, social presence, and the operational backbone of our video series on the future of work.

This role lives in Strategy & Operations / Manage pillar and will help define brand holistically. LinkedIn is our primary playing field, short-form video is our primary medium, and the bar is to earn attention in a serious industry rather than chase it.

What You’ll Own

The show: Operational ownership of our video series on the future of work. Production cadence, guest pipeline, publishing rhythm.

Brand voice and identity: A consistent FutureFit AI voice across the website, social, decks, episode collateral, and founder communications.

LinkedIn and short-form video: The primary distribution surface for the brand. Steady cadence of clips, posts, and supercuts. The bar is considered work that lands in a serious industry, not engagement bait.

Written content: Show notes, episode pages, guest bios, newsletter copy, founder communications. Writing is roughly half of this role.

Cross-functional partnership: Close work with Marketing and Growth on distribution, and with external production partners on the show.

Required Experience

• One to five years in brand, content, marketing, or media production. We are open at both ends of the range.

• Demonstrated fluency with LinkedIn as a B2B platform, with a feel for what works in a serious, professional industry.

• Comfort with short-form video as a creative and editorial tool. You do not have to be the editor, but you should be able to brief one, QA a cut, write a hook, and understand pacing for vertical formats.

• Sharp written communication. The ability to draft in a voice that is not your own and hold it consistently across surfaces.

• A demonstrated ability to ship on cadence rather than on inspiration.

• Fluency with the modern AI toolkit for content production and operations.

Bonus Points

• Direct experience producing or operating a B2B video podcast.

• Content experience in B2G, government, philanthropy, or otherwise regulated industries.

• Light video editing chops.

• Background in workforce development, AI, or B2B SaaS.

Your Education

Your alma mater isn’t our focus. Your grit, hunger, and drive are. If you learn continuously, tackle challenges head-on, and know your strengths and gaps intimately, you’re our person.

Location

[Hybrid, NYC or Toronto] This role is hybrid in either New York City or Toronto. For candidates living in Toronto, our office is conveniently located at 325 Front St West (a short walk from Union Station). Open to remote, east coast.

Travel Expectations

Although this role is hybrid, you may be expected to travel up to once per quarter, primarily for show recordings, offsites, or events.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is USD $80,000 to $130,000 in New York and CAD $75,000 to $115,000 in Toronto. This range reflects the varying levels of expertise and responsibilities that will be determined through the interview process, based on applied experience and other criteria established by the hiring committee. The range is intentionally wide because we are open at both junior and senior IC levels.

The Hiring Journey

Hiring Journey

At FutureFit AI, our hiring process is designed to help you assess whether this role and our culture are the right fit based on your unique skills, mindset, and experiences. We move fast and work with intensity, so we want you to get a real sense of that from the start.

Each journey includes a mix of interviews and a performance challenge. For this role, that might look like:

1. Online Application

2. Initial Screen with Director of People & Culture

3. Interview with Hiring Manager (VP Strategy & Operations)

4. Performance Challenge

5. Final 1:1 Interviews

6. Final Decision

Generally, this entire process takes around 6 weeks, although the timing can vary due to specific candidate circumstances.

Use of AI in Hiring

At FutureFit, we use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to make our hiring process more efficient, consistent, and equitable—never to replace human judgment. We use AI in the following ways:

  • Screening support: AI may help us compare applications against the skills and experience required for a specific role. These skills are defined by the hiring team for each position. A human reviews each application, with the AI assessment as just one input.

  • Interview support: In some interviews, we may use an AI notetaker to summarize the discussion so interviewers can focus on being present in the conversation.

  • Insights, not decisions: AI provides data points to support our team’s evaluation but does not make or recommend final hiring decisions. Every hiring decision is made by people.

We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, perform essential job functions, and receive other benefits and privileges of employment. Please contact us to request an accommodation.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
