The Role

We are looking for a Social Media, Brand, and Communications Manager to join our growing marketing team in the Bay Area. This is a hands-on role for a creative and strategic communicator who can craft compelling stories and bring the Firebolt brand to life across social media, PR, podcasts and more. The ideal candidate thrives in technical environments, understands developer and engineering audiences, and knows how to make complex topics engaging and accessible.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Firebolt’s social media strategy across LinkedIn, X, and other channels to grow reach, engagement, and brand visibility.
  • Create, write, and produce content for social platforms, including short-form video, visuals, and copy that resonate with technical and business audiences.
  • Orchestrate our employee advocacy program, working with our team members to amplify their own voice across the various platforms.
  • Manage the relationship with Firebolt’s PR agency, coordinating announcements, briefings, and media opportunities.
  • Oversee the company podcast, including guest planning, episode promotion, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support brand-related initiatives that strengthen Firebolt’s market presence and credibility.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics across channels, continuously optimizing for reach and engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and leadership teams to ensure brand consistency across all communications.

Requirements
  • Approximately 5 years of experience in brand communications, content, or marketing roles, ideally within data infrastructure or developer-focused startups.
  • Proven ability to create engaging content for technical audiences across social media platforms.
  • Hands-on experience producing multimedia content, including video editing, image creation, and copywriting.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and enthusiasm for leveraging them to create, edit, and scale content efficiently.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to balance multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Background in journalism or storytelling is an advantage.
  • A great sense of humor and creativity that helps bring personality to a technical brand.

Local base salary range: $145,000-155,000. This role is also be eligible for bonus, equity, and other incentives
