Job overview

We Vote is seeking a volunteer bookkeeper within our operations group to record and maintain financial transactions using Quickbooks.  These financial transactions include purchases, expenses, revenue and transfers.  From there, the bookkeeper can produce financial reports for the management team in order to run the organization efficiently.  

Role and responsibilities 
  • Work with management team to understand the budget 
  • Enter financial transactions into Quickbooks monthly 
  • Produce monthly/quarterly and annual financial reports 
  • Provide financial data for tax filing 

Required knowledge and skills:

  • 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably for a small business or non-profit 
  • Understanding of accounting principles and best practices 
  • Data entry 
  • Google sheets 
  • Quickbooks 
  • Account reconciliation 
  • Budget tracking 
  • Good communication skills
