Clinch seeks a detail-oriented and strategic part-time Bookkeeper and Financial Operations Specialist to manage financial records, invoicing, and collections, and collaborate closely with external accountants and internal teams. This role sits at the intersection of finance and sales, supporting our day-to-day accounting needs and the broader business through thoughtful financial analysis and data integrity.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, has strong hands-on bookkeeping experience, and is fluent in tools like QuickBooks Online, Google Sheets, and Excel. The opportunity to work with modern finance tools such as Brex and Pipedrive CRM is a strong plus, offering a chance for continuous learning and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Core Accounting & Compliance
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts weekly.
- Prepare standard financial reports: P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Assist with tax documentation and audit preparation, as needed.
Financial Planning & Reporting
- Monitor and forecast cash flow, track budgets, and flag variances.
- Create financial dashboards and reports using Excel and Google Sheets.
- Ensure proper categorization and tagging of expenses for strategic reporting.
Systems & Integration
- Support integrating CRM (Pipedrive) data with financial processes to improve forecasting and pipeline-to-cash insights.
- Collaborate on using Brex for spend management, card reconciliation, and policy enforcement, ensuring that all financial transactions adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Help evaluate and optimize financial workflows and internal controls.
Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with external accounting consultants to ensure timely, GAAP-compliant reporting.
- Provide the Marketing and other internal teams with financial insights to support project planning and ROI analysis.
- Contribute to ad-hoc reporting and financial data requests.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience, ideally in a tech, marketing, or services environment
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and Google Sheets
- Experience with CRM systems (Pipedrive preferred) and spend management platforms (Brex a plus)
- Proven ability to manage cash flow, handle reconciliations, and support external accountants
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive mindset
- Effective communicator who thrives in both independent and team-based settings
- Comfortable working on-site 2-3 days a week in our NYC office
