This is an exciting opportunity for a biostatistician to participate in advancing Natera’s oncology product portfolio of cutting-edge liquid biopsy tests, while working closely with biologists and other cross-functional teams. As a Biostatistician, you will leverage your strong applied statistics background to contribute to the design, analysis, and reporting of verification and validation experiments for multiple high-priority development projects.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • With guidance, drive design and execution of verification and validation studies, contributing to oncology product development projects.

  • Perform relevant statistical analyses (e.g., sample size, power, precision, accuracy, linearity, and LoB/LoD/LoQ) for studies of varying complexity.

  • With guidance, produce high quality presentations and documentation of analysis plans, methods, results, and interpretation.

  • Effectively convey statistical concepts and results to cross-functional collaborators and stakeholders.

  • Contribute to identification of study risks, communicate concerns, and present potential solutions to the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s in biostatistics, statistics, or equivalent with concurrent relevant experience

  • Practical experience with statistical and data analysis software such as R (preferred)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Working knowledge of statistical methods including the ability to produce novel methods based on first principles understanding.

  • Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm to communicate in cross-functional teams with members of diverse technical backgrounds.

  • Ability to produce high quality written documentation for varying audiences.

  • Prior experience with NGS, genetics, and/or oncology diagnostics is a plus.

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
