Overview:
Plays a key role in supporting the mission of HKS and the Practice Technology team. Partners with Firmwide, Senior, Regional and Special Projects leaders within Practice Technology to support the strategic implementation of major initiatives across the firm.
Leads the technical development and management of BIM Content within the Practice Technology group and contribute to the oversight of their firmwide implementation. BIM Content will include but is not limited to Revit families/templates, Dynamo graphs, dRofus templates and their documentation. Innovates HKS project delivery through the utilization of high-quality data rich BIM Content. Responsible for all content related needs necessary to rollout and implement new versions of BIM applications. Manages the firm’s resources (people, processes and tools) and assignments with proficiency, fluency and aptitude.
Responsibilities:
- Manages Firmwide BIM content including but not limited to developing new BIM content as well as incorporating new requests and enhancements into existing BIM content
- Manages Firmwide BIM Templates including but not limited to developing new Templates as well as incorporating new request and enhancements into existing BIM Templates
- Manages Firmwide BIM Content distribution platform including but not limited to uploading new content, removing dated content, and making improvements to content already hosted
- Collaborates with platform vendor to stay abreast with all available functionality and understand new features as they are released
- Works with Practice Technology leadership to implement new features
- Trains necessary Practice Technology members on platform functionality and new features in a timely manner
- Collaborates with Firmwide, Seniors, Regional and Special Projects leader to understand and develop BIM Content
- Collaborates with Firmwide and Senior BIM Leader to develop content development strategy
- Collaborates with HKS BIM Committee and PTS Network to test all BIM Content before firmwide implementation
- Assists and supports with the development and implementation of best practices that support the use and adoption of all HKS design technologies
- Assists and leads the evaluation of new and developing BIM related technologies
Qualifications:
- Professional degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Typically 5+ years of relevant experience with Autodesk Revit and BIM Management in an architecture, interior design or construction field
- Typically 3+ year of relevant experience developing BIM Content for Autodesk Revit and Dynamo
- Good working knowledge to support AEC authoring and management applications including Autodesk (Revit, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360 and Forge), Rhino, Sketchup, and dRofus
- Familiarity with design visualization applications including Autodesk 3D Max, Enscape, Lumion, Vray and Unreal Engine preferred
- Familiarity with environmental analysis applications such as Sefaira, Insight360, Lady Bug/Honeybee, Fenestra Pro, WUFI, and IES preferred
- Understanding of legacy CAD applications and practices, particularly AutoCAD
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to produce high quality, accurate results
- Ability to deliver business change through the innovative use of data and technology
- Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and integrity
- Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
- Ability to proactively problem solve and apply innovative solutions

- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality
Travel may be required
Base Salary Range: $68k - $85k annually – Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, New York, and Washington D.C. locations only
