Your Opportunity
We are seeking a BIM Modeler with a strong command of Revit-based BIM workflows to support structural and waterfront projects including wharves, piers, and associated buildings. This role is ideal for someone who thinks in models first, understands multidisciplinary coordination (including MEP), and uses CAD as a supporting tool rather than a primary workflow.
You will collaborate closely with engineers and designers to deliver coordinated models and high-quality construction documentation while continuing to grow your BIM expertise. BRIM experience is a bonus, not a requirement. This position is flexible between our Burlington, MA, Boston, MA, Burlington, MA, Virginia Beach, VA offices and remote work. For the right candidate, we would consider any office across the United States.

Your Key Responsibilities
BIM / Revit-Centered Modeling
- Develop and maintain Revit-based BIM models for structural, waterfront and infrastructure projects.
- Produce coordinated construction documentation directly from Revit models.
- Organize and manage Revit project files, worksets, and digital model databases.
- Create, modify, and manage custom Revit families and parameters to support project needs.
- Ensure BIM standards, templates, and best practices are consistently applied.
- Advanced knowledge of latest Autodesk products including: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360.
- Proficiency in the following platforms is not required but would be considered an asset: InfraWorks, Dynamo, Python, C#, Inventor, 3ds Max, ArcGIS Pro, REST API, Autodesk Forge APIs, Autodesk Forma.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, civil, MEP and architectural, disciplines.
- Coordinate models with other offices, specialty consultants, and subconsultants.
- Participate in model reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with firm and client standards.
- Work alongside experienced practitioners to expand your BIM, coordination, and delivery expertise.
CAD & Supporting Documentation
- Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to support legacy workflows, details, and coordination as required.
- Ensure CAD outputs align with BIM-driven documentation and firm standards.
- Maintain awareness of CAD standards and styles, using them efficiently where needed.
Digital Practice & Continuous Improvement
- Assist with the development and refinement of BIM documentation, standards, templates, workflows, and best practices.
- Represent BC 1794 as a knowledgeable BIM practitioner in internal project discussions.
- Stay current with emerging BIM, VDC, and model-based design technologies.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Proven ability to collaborate across disciplines and offices.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Detail-oriented when required, with the ability to balance precision and efficiency.
- Curious, proactive mindset with interest in learning new tools and improving workflows.
- Familiarity with BRIM concepts or bridge modeling workflows is a bonus, not required.
Education and Experience
- Associate’s or Technical Degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional BIM experience, with Revit as your primary design and documentation tool.
- 3+ years of Revit experience required, with demonstrated progression toward BIM-centric workflows
- Strong proficiency in Revit modeling, coordination, and documentation workflows.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D; used as supporting tools rather than primary platforms.
- Experience in structural and MEP disciplines is required; experience with civil and architectural projects is highly desirable.
