This position is responsible for analytical support related to billing receivables and reimbursement issues, working cross-functionally to ensure accurate billing and optimal revenue cycle performance. This role assists in compiling and analyzing datasets to inform key business decisions and facilitate visibility into our revenue cycle and performance.
 
This role is based at our Durham, North Carolina, office and offers a flexible working arrangement. It offers a flexible work arrangement, with the ability to work from GRAIL's office or from home. Our current flexible work arrangement policy requires that a minimum of 60%, or 24 hours, of your total work week be on-site. Your specific schedule, determined in collaboration with your manager, will align with team and business needs and could exceed the 60% requirement for the site.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile Recurring and Ad-Hoc reporting for stakeholders across data sets and reporting environments.
  • Assist in validating and reconciling data across systems and vendors to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Identify missing, inconsistent, or inaccurate information that could delay claim submission or reimbursement.
  • Gather, document, and clarify stakeholder reporting requirements to develop content and manage version control.
  • Assist in migrating reports and dashboards from one system to another.
  • Maintain working knowledge of revenue cycle workflow and project specific expectations to create and maintain exception reporting.
  • Track and enhance key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue cycle performance, billing accuracy, and to enhance revenue recognition.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Accounting preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in MS Excel or Google Sheet and  at least one of the following: BusinessObjects, Tableau, or Power BI to create and schedule reporting solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle management, or data analysis preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate issues/risks associated with projects and findings, both verbally and via presentations or other visual media to multiple layers of leadership and key stakeholders.

Physical Demands & Working Environment:

  • Hours and days may vary depending on operational needs.
  • Standing or sitting for long periods of time may be necessary.
  • May be exposed to hazardous materials, blood specimens and instruments with moving parts, heating or freezing elements, and high speed centrifugation.

The expected, full-time, annual base pay scale for this position is $59K-$72K. 

This role may be eligible for other forms of compensation, including an annual bonus and/or incentives, subject to the terms of the applicable plans and Company discretion. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of the range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications. Employees in this role are also eligible for GRAIL’s comprehensive and competitive benefits package, offered in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
