Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day billing process for respective team line of business focus area(s) ensuring billing goals are achieved.  

  • Responsible for coordinating and organizing schedules, processes, and procedures for the timely billing of the firm’s services. 

  • Responsible for the teams’ day-to-day task management, performance, and driving accountability toward key performance indicators. 

  • Meet with team members, ensuring compliance to standard billing practices, resolving complex billing issues/questions, and education of primary billers and functional leads. 

  • Understand and be able to articulate the impact/effects of all financial concepts related to billing as well as impact to the firms standardized reporting. 

  • Independently investigates complex billing issues and processes invoice adjustments to ensure invoice and margin accuracy. 

  • In collaboration with the Billing Manager, cultivate seamless and highly effective working relationships, interoperability, and lines of communication with the Firm’s applicable Primary Billers and Functional Leads, and finance peers. 

  • Supervisory duties include connecting with team members regularly, driving performance and ongoing development of skills.

  • ​​​Ongoing performance management (goal setting, feedback, performance assessment)

  • Skills development (experience, exposure, education) - Supports employees with the development of knowledge, skills, and abilities by working to help gain exposure through on-the-job experiences, alignment of work, learning opportunities and connectivity to others. 

  • Utilization/productivity – works with employee to monitor personal metrics, help align to LOB and firm expectations and monitors for issues or gaps. 

  • Long-term career coaching and development. 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree with a finance operations, accounting or equivalent experience - Required  

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills - Required  

  • Ability to learn, implement and train others – Required 

  • Ability to work in a large, complex, dynamic organization where a high degree of ambiguity and change exists – Required 

  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees including senior leadership – Required 

  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team leader – Required 

  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills – Required 

  • Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills – Required  

  • 4-6 years’ experience - Required  

  • Prior professional billing experience - Required  

  • Ability to supervise, direct and review the results of projects or assignments - Required  

  • Demonstrated success in influencing and engaging stakeholders, building collaborative relationships while managing conflicting priorities – Required 

  • Demonstrated ability to respond positively to changing circumstances, seek and implement change to drive business process improvement, and serve as a model of change – Required 

  • Strong communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the firm – Required 

  • Able to motivate, inspire and develop individuals and teams to collaborate and deliver to their highest potential - Required

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $66,100 - $110,000

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
