DEPARTMENT: PATIENT ACCOUNTING #8530
POSITION SUMMARY:

Review patient account files and insure their accuracy and completeness.  Monitor late charges, current proof of eligibility, extensions, TAR’s, and DRG’s.  Receives and answers billing related inquiries.  Prepares billing report and writes off third party payor, contractual allowances.  Electronically and manually bills assigned third party payor follow up insurance billing if payment not timely. 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Six (6) months to one (1) year billing experience in healthcare setting
  • Types 45 WPM

 Position Pay Range:   $18.63 - $27.45/hour
In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Imperial Valley Healthcare District (IVHD) posts the pay range for all jobs. Please note that actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state.
