Position Summary:
The Billing Analyst is integral to the finance team and will assist in invoicing and collections across multiple subsidiaries. This detail-oriented individual will be part of the general ledger (“GL”) close process and revenue reporting, which includes management and external reporting. The Billing Analyst is the primary liaison for the year-end and interim audits for accounts receivable and revenue related items.
The Billing Analyst is encouraged to spearhead process improvements and streamline processes for future, continued success. The Billing Analyst will join a highly motivated and collaborative team at a moment of growth and transition for the Company.
Key Relationships: Accounting, Finance, Operations, People Operations
Key Accountabilities:
- Managing the billing process, including:
- Review and analyze contracts to ensure billing aligns with terms and conditions;
- Preparing, reviewing, and posting timely and accurate invoices;
- Preparing and maintaining monthly balance sheet reconciliations for accounts receivable and reserve accounts;
- Making collection calls and resolving billing issues;
- Preparing reports on billing data, identifying trends, and supporting monthly closing activities;
- Support interim and year end audits;
- Sales tax reporting and compliance;
- Responding to customer inquiries and disputes regarding invoices
- Supports the Senior Accounting Manager in various related activities, including ad hoc requests and projects.
Required Education and Experience:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in SaaS billing, accounting, or customer support
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Relevant experience in SaaS billing, accounting, or customer support
- Strong analytical problem solving and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of NetSuite software preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and various Microsoft Office applications (pivots, vlookups, index/matching)
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize appropriately
- Good interpersonal skills allowing for ability to effectively collaborate within a team setting
- Ability to work remotely
Location: Remote anywhere within the US (Eastern time zone or central time zone strongly preferred)
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 annual base salary plus bonus, equity, 401k match, Unlimited PTO and medical/dental/vision insurance
