CANVAS is looking for a passionate and collaborative Social Manager to join our team. You will work alongside copywriters, content creators, strategists and account managers to support award-winning digital initiatives and grow brand affinity across social channels. The ideal candidate believes in the power of connection and is obsessed with extending brand messaging to consumers and peers in creative and socially native ways. You’re a strong writer just as much as a social maven, but your style is adaptable and flexible, and can reach a wide swatch of audiences.

We pride ourselves on our integrated and nimble digital work, so our Social Manager should be organized, fast on their feet, and capable of speaking many brand languages in a given day. 

Job Description

What You’ll Do Here:

  • Community Management on Owned Accounts - interact with followers engaging with us (respond to comments, like comments, answer DMs, escalate customer service issues, etc.)
  • Outbound Community Management - get the brand out in the world (comment on users’ content that mentions the brand, engage with content and conversations where the brand can add value, start conversations with influencers and active users, etc)
  • Collect and Curate UGC - save and curate the best UGC (influencers too) featuring brands for usage on social accounts 
  • Track Community Management Efforts - create and maintain trackers or decks that log all community management efforts, including notable moments of engagement and / or positive sentiment with audiences, versus ones that did not perform as well. 
  • Social Landscape Analysis - monitor current trends and dialogues that engage our target audiences across primary social platforms; and compiled findings into decks to be presented to internal social teams with collaboration from strategy; input into client data and trends decks
  • Content + Copywriting - provide reactive / quick-turn content to be created for upcoming social calendars, ideate on monthly content calendars, support social copywriting efforts / at times write social captions, feed into monthly content calendar planning 
  • Social Media Copywriter on socially-led evergreen initiatives.
  • Paid Media Asset Management - own the updates and maintenance of paid media trackers with post links, copy, and codes for media team 
  • Agency Social - lead the efforts for the agency social media channels; maintain the owned and outbound community management efforts on the agency channels

Qualifications

Your Qualifications:

  • Fluency in English & Spanish!
  • Expert in social media platforms and an endless curiosity on platform updates/evolutions
  • Knowledge of Google Suite
  • Keen eye for detail, and capacity to proofread and QA your own work
  • A nerd streak for data and social media trends that’s always on
  • You’re a social media head that’s always looking for new ways to connect and participate on platforms. 

Bonus points if you have… 

  • A passion for developing and understanding brand tones 
  • Experience writing captions or social content for brands
  • Experience and passion for organizational project tools like Asana, Monday, etc. 
  • Experience utilizing Sprinklr or similar platforms
  • Experience writing editorial content (we’d love to grow this position creatively!)

Additional Information

* Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 salary range
