Job Description

This role will work closely with business stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver interactive dashboards and reports that drive data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data modeling, visualization best practices, and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights while ensuring compliance with data governance standards.

 As the Business Intelligence (BI) Developer, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand reporting needs.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
  • Optimize Power BI solutions for performance and usability.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across all BI solutions.
  • Adhere to data governance guidelines in all BI development activities.
  • Create clear, standardized documentation for dashboards, data models, and reporting processes.
  • Provide training and support to business users on Power BI tools and self-service capabilities.
  • Work with IT and data teams to integrate data from multiple sources into Power BI.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BI tools and data connections.
  • Stay current with Power BI updates and BI best practices, as well as drive change and continuous improvement within systems and processes.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and ownership in designing and delivering high-quality, insight-driven Power BI dashboards that support data-driven decision-making.
  • Quickly grasp complex, ambiguous business requirements and translate them into clear project milestones and actionable deliverables to drive efficient execution.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in data-related roles (BI, analytics, data engineering, or similar).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development, including:
    • Building dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
    • Creating and optimizing DAX measures and queries.
    • Designing data models for reporting.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and storytelling with data.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work onsite with business teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with data governance concepts, including ensuring dashboards and reports adhere to organizational data governance standards.
  • Ability to create clear, standardized documentation for BI solutions, including data models, report definitions, and usage guidelines.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering training for business users on Power BI dashboards and self-service analytics.

You may have:

  • Experience with Power BI Copilot is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and data warehousing concepts.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration.
  • Ability to translate complex data concepts into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range:

Annual Salary: $101,000.00 - $116,000.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
