BI & Automation Analyst

Neogen is seeking a data-driven, solutions-oriented Analyst to join our Business Intelligence & Automation team. In this role, you'll design and maintain impactful reporting tools and streamlined data workflows that empower operational decision-making. Leveraging Power BI, SSRS, Power Automate, SQL, and Azure Data Lake, you’ll transform raw data into meaningful insights—driving efficiency across departments. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex data challenges, automating manual tasks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and deliver measurable impact.

The Data Systems Analyst will play a key role in building and optimizing Neogen’s enterprise data ecosystem. This position is responsible for developing data pipelines, reports, and automation tools that drive business decision-making across teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SQL and Microsoft Power Platform, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to design scalable and insightful data solutions.

This role can be performed remotely, with flexibility built in to support work-life balance and team collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize datasets using SQL for downstream reporting and analysis.

• Create dynamic, interactive reports using Power BI and SSRS.

• Build automated workflows and data transformations using Power Automate and Power Query.

• Maintain and enhance cloud-based data pipelines within Azure Data Lake and Azure Synapse.

• Support and extend reporting tools developed in Excel (including macros) and R.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting and automation requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

• Document data processes and ensure high standards for data accuracy, consistency, and quality across reporting platforms.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.

• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Automate, Power Query, SQL, and Azure Synapse.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency and process improvement.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a dynamic work environment.

• Effective communicator, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical audiences.
