The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for managing team member benefits including enrollment, compliance, documentation, and liaising with insurance providers. This role requires data maintenance, audit responsibilities, and support during open enrollment. This is a 12-18-month contract position
1. Know and understand Bowling Green Metalforming Quality and Environmental policies.
2. Enter all new hires, terminations and weekly status change updates for all hourly and salary team members.
3. Responsible for ensuring data compliance by maintaining accurate records in Workday and ADP through monthly self-audits.
4. Lead and champion all open enrollment efforts annually. Includes proposing and reviewing annual changes with leadership, setting up team member meetings, scheduling time for team members to review their current benefits and then updating data in systems of any requested changes.
5. Responsible for requesting and maintaining documentation for dependents, including marriage certificates and birth certificates.
6. Responsible for responding to Court Orders regarding Medical Child Support Orders. (QMCSO's)
7. Participate in annual corporate Wage & Benefit Survey.
8. Participate in annual EEPPP data reporting and reconciliation.
9. Responsible for ensuring annual and progressional pay increases for salary and hourly team members are accurate and timely.
10. Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
11. Safeguard all financial/personnel documents and keep all financial/personnel matters private and confidential.
12. Administration of Team Member Group Benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision and prescription coverages and insurances such as Life, AD&D, Critical Illness, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability and 401k plans.
13. Liaison between insurance provider and Team Member when allowable, and liaison between Corporate Benefits Administration when necessary.
14. Responsible for weekly 401k contributions and loans and updates to team member's records.
15. Responsible for coding FMLA, STD, LTD and WC. Maintaining FMLA calendars and tracking hours for continuous and intermittent FMLA.
16. Support Team Members' by providing answers and requests in a timely fashion.
17. Facilitate new hire orientation: provide guidance to new Team Members and assist in the enrollment process of company benefit plans and ensure Team Members can access Workday and MyLife.
18. Perform other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- Post-secondary education preferred or equivalent work-related experience of 2-4 years in HRIS/benefits
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Minimum of 2 years' experience with ADP and Workday. (Prior Benefits or Payroll Experience a plus)
- Ability to operate standard office equipment preferred
Physical Demands:
- Office and General factory environment
- Able to be flexible in hours of work on short notice in order to meet internal/external customer requirements (scheduled and non-scheduled overtime shifts, etc.)
