Position Overview

Archera is hiring a BDR Manager to lead and help scale the team that builds our sales pipeline. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will manage a team of four BDRs of mixed seniority and own the qualified meetings (SQLs) they generate. This is a true player-coach role: you will spend real hours on the phones modeling what great outbound looks like, while coaching reps in the flow of the work, sharpening playbooks and sequences, and owning a weekly forecast with sales leadership. You will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to keep messaging sharp, target account lists fresh and researched, and the top of the funnel healthy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coach a team of four BDRs of mixed seniority, running weekly one-on-ones that blend number review with real development, plus live call reviews and discovery listening; uplifting senior reps while patiently ramping more junior ones.
  • Own the team’s SQL output (qualified meetings set), starting each day with a pipeline pulse on meetings booked, calendar health, show-rates, and tracking every rep against their target.
  • Stay hands-on on the phones, modeling excellent outbound, jumping onto tricky prospects with more junior reps, and workshopping messaging with senior reps.
  • Build and continuously refine the outbound engine: sequences, call and email playbooks, and researched, up-to-date target account lists with a clear thesis.
  • Own weekly forecasting and pipeline reporting, partnering with the Director of Sales to walk through expected SQLs and diagnose what is driving any gaps.
  • Drive improvements to messaging, sequencing, and personalization, using A/B testing and leading-indicator metrics to decide what lands best with respective prospects.
  • Help hire, onboard, and ramp reps, deepening the team’s command of Archera’s domain, competitive and FinOps landscape, and buyer persona(s).
Qualifications
  • 2+ years carrying and hitting a quota as a BDR/SDR
  • 2+ years of successfully managing a BDR/SDR team.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring range. The ability to develop reps across the seniority spectrum.
  • Metrics-fluent: comfortable living in the data, forecasting off leading indicators rather than gut feel, and holding yourself and the team accountable to top-of-funnel metrics.
  • Track record building and refining playbooks, sequences, and target account lists. Strategically improving process, not just running an existing one.
  • Hands-on fluency with a modern sales tech stack (e.g., Apollo, Nooks, Gong, Salesforce).
  • Strong command of outbound messaging and sequencing, with an eye for what makes outreach land.
  • Experience selling into technical or cloud/infrastructure buyers, and familiarity with FinOps, DevOps, and/or cloud infrastructure, is a major plus.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary and equity package
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) plan
  • Flexible PTO and company holidays
  • Remote-first culture
  • Opportunity to shape and scale a category-defining FinTech platform

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
