As a forward-thinking company, we are shaping the future of higher education and seeking talented individuals with experience in Ellucian Banner for part-time opportunities within our organization.  Are you a seasoned professional with multiple years of college or university experience in Finance leadership or as a Consultant working directly with the Ellucian Banner Finance module? In this role, you will be working with clients to implement and optimize Banner. Your expertise in Banner, Finance business processes, and best practices will drive successful outcomes for our clients. SIG employees work remotely and occasionally travel to client sites.

  • Collaborate with business units to understand financial operations and requirements.
  • Consult with clients in ways to utilize various technological tools to help improve business processes.
  • Configure the Banner financial module to meet business needs.
  • Provide expertise in using Banner to improve and automate business processes within the finance office at a college or university.
  • Assist in testing and implementation of financial software.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to system usage, configuration, and data integrity.
  • Provide end-user training and support documentation.
  • Keep abreast of industry changes and recommend system enhancements to increase efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 or more years working within the Higher Education Industry.
  • 5 or more years of experience working with Ellucian Banner, demonstrating advanced user proficiency.
  • Experience implementing the Banner Finance module at a college or university.
  • Strong knowledge of financial operations, including general accounting, budgeting, and purchasing within the higher education industry.
  • Experience in a consulting capacity, focusing on enhancing business processes and demonstrated success in creating efficiency.
  • Ability to troubleshoot functional issues within Banner and communicate user requirements to the technical support team.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and a proven customer service approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing project-based work.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant.

Pay Transparency

  • The range for this role is $45-63 per hour

The listed salary range for this position is indicative and subject to adjustment based on the candidate's unique skills and location. Final compensation will be determined through mutual agreement between the successful candidate and SIG.
