A full service creditor's rights law firm with a national bankruptcy practice is seeking a remote attorney with experience representing secured creditors in consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases. A qualified candidate must have a working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of bankruptcy experience, however, we are open to training the right team-oriented candidate with less experience. License to practice law in Arizona required. 

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Primarily manages bankruptcy routine matters
  • Draft and review all pleadings and claims filed in the particular matter
  • Attends scheduled hearings
  • Responds to general firm wide bankruptcy inquiries
  • Review filings on behalf of the clients
  • Monitoring of all electronic filings (ECFs)
  • Resolving routine bankruptcy matters such as Motions for Relief, Objections to Confirmation, Proofs of claim, etc.
  • Regular communication with the client, opposing counsel and the Court

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of bankruptcy rules/laws and general Creditor Rights laws
  • Computer Literacy Professionalism
  • Keyboard Skills Attention to detail
  • Time Management Communication Skills

Required Education and Training:

  • Law degree – JD
  • Barred in AZ
  • Admitted to District and/or Bankruptcy Courts in AZ
