Our Hiring Approach

We’re looking for a Go Backend Engineer who thrives in fast-moving environments and wants to work on real problems from day one.

Instead of going through a long and formal hiring process, we’ve simplified it into three steps:

➡️ Step 1: Quick interview loop
➡️ Step 2: Paid contract with real-world tasks (2–4 weeks)
➡️ Step 3: Full-time role if it’s a fit

This way, you’ll skip endless coding puzzles and get straight to what matters: building meaningful systems that power Trust Wallet for millions of users worldwide.

What you'll do
  • System design: Think holistically about how services are built, interact, and integrate with third parties.

  • Feature development & optimization: Own backend features that support our platforms (extension, mobile, desktop).

  • Infrastructure: Define how Trust Wallet runs and deploys backend services to millions of users.

  • Team building: Collaborate with the team to raise the bar with each new hire.

  • User & developer support: Interface with end-users and external developers, support their needs, and collect feedback to shape product direction.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience, with strong Go expertise (2+ years for Mid Level).

  • Experience building microservice-based architectures.

  • Strong technical problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Deep knowledge of Key-Value and SQL databases.

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Nice to have:

  • Active GitHub portfolio

  • Contributions to popular libraries or personal open-source projects

  • Knowledge of iOS SDK performance and optimization techniques

Additional Information

This is a global and fully remote role. You must have the right to work for the country you are based.

Why work at Trust Wallet?
  • Be a part of the world’s leading blockchain ecosystem that continues to grow.

  • Excellent learning and career development opportunities.

  • Work alongside diverse, world-class talent, in an environment where learning and growth opportunities are endless.

  • Tackle fast-paced, challenging and unique projects.

  • Work in a truly global organization, with international teams and a flat organizational structure.

  • Work fully remotely with flexible working hours.

  • Enjoy competitive salary and benefits.

Apply today to join our team in building the world’s most trusted and secure crypto wallet and enable a decentralized future for everyone.

Trust Wallet is committed to being an equal opportunity employer. We believe that having a diverse workforce is fundamental to our success.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
