We are looking for a skilled and self-driven Backend Engineer to lead and implement our ONDC integration efforts. You will work closely with product managers, ONDC protocol teams, and cross-functional engineering groups to develop and maintain reliable APIs and backend infrastructure aligned with ONDC specifications.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement backend services and APIs to integrate with ONDC protocols.
Work with KiranaPro's product and tech team to ensure compliance with ONDC buyer/seller app standards.
Handle data modeling, performance tuning, and secure API development.
Collaborate with external ONDC interfaces like Beckn protocol and gateway services.
Manage and monitor ONDC transaction flows (discovery, ordering, fulfillment, settlement).
Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
Conduct code reviews, write unit and integration tests.
Maintain high availability and reliability for ONDC-related services.
Integrate with logistics, payments, and catalog management systems as part of ONDC flow.
2–6 years of experience in backend development.
Strong proficiency in Node.js, Typescript.
Good experience with REST APIs, WebSockets, and microservices architecture.
Hands-on experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
Understanding of API security, OAuth2, JWT, and related standards.
Experience with Docker, ORM's like Prisma, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Familiarity with ONDC or Beckn protocol is highly preferred.
Solid problem-solving and debugging skills.
