We are currently seeking a Back-End Software Engineer - PHP to join Symplicity Brasil and contribute to enhancing our comprehensive software solutions. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our U.S.-based team, so advanced conversational English is essential. To support your growth, we offer an English development program led by a dedicated full-time instructor.
This is an exciting opportunity to broaden your technical skills by learning Python and working with integration engineering tools and processes. No prior experience with Python or integration tools is required—we’ll provide all the training and support you need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software features using PHP technologies.
  • Learn and apply Python to support integrations and automation workflows.
  • Gain hands-on experience with integration tools for streamlining systems and processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, ensuring system stability and reliability.
  • Collaborate on testing, debugging, and fixing bugs across development environments.
  • Support and improve system integrations across multiple platforms and services.
  • Follow software engineering best practices and Agile methodologies.
  • Collaborate with UX designers, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Research and evaluate technical options to meet project requirements.
  • Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code.
  • Work with databases to manage and manipulate data effectively.

What We’re Looking For

  • Solid experience with PHP development.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design patterns.
  • Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, and supporting complex systems.
  • Proficiency with Unix/Linux command-line tools.
  • Experience using Git or other version control systems.
  • Advanced English skills for effective communication with international teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Python for workflow automation or task development.
  • Familiarity with integration tools and systems (training will be provided if needed).
  • Knowledge of AWS (Amazon Web Services) for cloud-based development and infrastructure.
  • Experience with test planning, bug tracking, and quality assurance processes.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Background in software product companies or Agile development environments.
  • JavaScript skills for enhancing front-end functionality.
  • Experience with tools like SSH and VIM.
  • A passion for scalable web development and system architecture.
