About Project Expedition

Project Expedition, a fast-growing travel and tourism startup, connects people with the best tours and activities around the world, aiming to provide industry-leading service and support. We are seeking a B2B Digital Marketing Specialist to work closely with our Sales Team to help achieve company goals and targets by engaging with our clients via various digital marketing channels.

The ideal candidate will possess an exceptional design aesthetic and excel at creating content and copy that effectively communicates our brand and products, driving growth and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Digital Marketing
Identify growth opportunities within the travel industry through in-depth market research and analysis. Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to expand growth, engagement, and revenue. Own the execution of campaigns and initiatives from concept through delivery, ensuring deadlines, milestones, and outcomes are consistently met. Proactively research and propose strategic marketing assets, campaigns, and training initiatives aligned with Project Expedition’s sales and growth goals.

  2. Content Creation & Campaign Execution
Produce high-quality first-round drafts of content and assets with minimal required feedback. Create, curate, and manage content across social media, email campaigns, webinars, training materials, and website updates. Ensure messaging aligns with specific agency needs, overall trade demand, and known training gaps. Maintain a high standard of design and brand consistency across all channels.

  3. Sales & Growth Alignment
Execute on team “Sales Goals” projects with 100% accountability and consistent on-time delivery. Support agency-level growth initiatives and secure high-value advisor engagement, including sourcing webinar registrants from key accounts. Proactively identify opportunities to expand reach, accelerate revenue, and strengthen advisor relationships.

  4. Performance & Optimization
Monitor and optimize open rates, click-through rates, and campaign performance to meet or exceed industry benchmarks. Maintain 100% on-time delivery of weekly, monthly, and agency-specific assets. Balance workload across priorities: B2B content execution, market and competitor research, and targeted outreach.

  5. Advisor & Partner Engagement
Manage communications with travel advisors and partners, ensuring timely responses and strong relationship management. Respond to advisor communications within 24 hours and escalations with urgency. Actively contribute valuable market, supply, and service insights from online chatter and partner feedback.

  6. Innovation & Efficiency
Adopt and leverage new technologies, AI tools, and marketing platforms to increase efficiency and productivity. Anticipate challenges, propose solutions, and collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Training, and Product teams.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably within B2B, SaaS, travel, or agency-facing industries

  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and execute multi-channel marketing plans with minimal supervision

  • Strong email design skills, including layout, formatting, and performance-driven content creation

  • Proven experience creating marketing assets such as PDFs, flyers, one-pagers, and branded collateral

  • Video editing experience for short-form marketing, training, and promotional content

  • Deep understanding of style guides and brand guidelines, with the ability to maintain consistency across all assets and channels

  • Strong data analytics mindset — comfortable reviewing performance data (open rates, click-through rates, engagement, conversions) to identify successes, gaps, and optimization opportunities

  • Campaign design and strategic problem-solving skills: able to take a business or sales challenge and translate it into a cohesive, multi-channel marketing campaign

  • High level of creative thinking paired with strong execution discipline

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking initiative in a fast-moving environment

  • Comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Requirements

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

  • Proficient with digital marketing tools and platforms (social, email, design, analytics, CRM, AI tools). Excellent written communication skills — must be comfortable drafting copy, marketing campaigns, training content, press releases, and sales assets.

  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and with strong accountability.

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, and execute consistently at a high level.

  • Comfortable working in a performance-driven environment with clear metrics and growth targets.

Benefits include:

  • Annual company bonus (up to a total of $3,000, based on company targets - deferred eligibility)

  • 15 days of leave (increases to 20 days at 2 years tenure)

  • Company Healthcare Plan (Company contribution $9K with 2 completely covered plans)

  • 401K company plan

  • Annual work from home budget $500

  • Annual training budget of $250

  • TSA Precheck (worth $80)

  • Annual Project Expedition tour credits of $750

  • Employee discounts on thousands of tours and activities

Additional Information

  • While we’re excited to grow our team across the U.S., we’re currently unable to hire employees residing in California or New York due to state compliance requirements.

Please note that while this is a remote position, it is not suitable for digital nomads. Employees must be based in the United States and will have an allocation of time that they can work remotely in other destinations.

Project Expedition is growing very rapidly, and we expect that this role will evolve over time. As a result, you will not only have the chance to make a direct impact on a growing company, but you will have the opportunity to shape and influence your career path. This position is great for someone who thrives without a lot of structure, works independently, responds well to change and a fluid working environment, and who always tries to find a better way of doing things.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
