Position Summary

The Revenue Integrity- Advanced Cloud Engineering Solutions team is seeking a talented and experienced senior AWS QuickSight Dashboard Developer to design, develop, and maintain impactful data visualization solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working in a cloud-based environment, preferably AWS, AWS QuickSight, SQL, Python, and PySpark. Knowledge or experience with machine learning, data modeling, LLMs, Databricks, and Amazon Sagemaker is a plus.

In this position, you will play a vital role in driving the successful delivery of our cloud-based infrastructure and applications, mentor junior team members, maintain thorough documentation, and deliver high-quality results within tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy insightful dashboards and reports using AWS QuickSight.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional, user-friendly visualizations.
  • Optimize dashboard performance to ensure efficiency and usability.
  • Write and manage efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and integration.
  • Utilize Python and PySpark for advanced data analytics and transformation workflows.
  • Work in an Agile environment, participating actively in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their technical and professional growth.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation for developed solutions, ensuring clarity and alignment with project standards.
  • Manage and prioritize tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality deliverables. Self-directed.
  • Leverage experience in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) to optimize solutions and workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with dashboards and integrations.

Stay updated with the latest AWS services and emerging trends in the industry.
 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Application Development Engineer or similar role, with AWS QuickSight or other dashboard tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data.
  • Hands-on experience with Python and PySpark for data processing and analytics.
  • Experience working in cloud environments, particularly with AWS services like S3, Glue, and Athena.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodology and familiarity with tools like Rally or Jira.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior team members effectively.
  • Excellent documentation skills to ensure clarity and maintainability of solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively under tight timelines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with big data technologies and ETL processes.
  • Hands-on-experience with machine learning techniques, data modeling, LLMs, Databricks, and Amazon Sagemaker.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native tools and technologies and storage.
  • Managed Healthcare experience or knowledge of health insurance concepts, preferably Risk adjustment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present complex data insights to stakeholders.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$130,295.00 - $260,590.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
