About the Role
Redhorse transforms how government uses data and technology. We are seeking a skilled and motivated AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our high-performing team. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments supporting our vital government clients. Your expertise will directly impact the reliability and security of mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production environment issues with limited context or documentation.
- Configure and manage AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Groovy/Java.
- Create, deploy, and manage Docker containers and Kubernetes workloads.
- Write and maintain Linux shell scripts; administer Red Hat Linux environments as a superuser.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures.
- Design and maintain AWS virtual networks, prioritizing security and best practices.
Required Experience/Clearance
- Hands-on AWS experience: Comfortable configuring services through CLI or IaC.
- CI/CD Automation: Experience writing custom Jenkins pipelines in Groovy/Java.
- Linux Expertise: Strong command-line experience with Red Hat Linux and shell scripting.
- Containerization: Proficient with Docker, writing Dockerfiles, and its role in microservices and deployment workflows.
- IaC Experience: Familiarity with tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Kubernetes: Ability to configure clusters and deploy/manage containers.
- Networking: Practical understanding of network protocols, security, and AWS virtual network setup.
- Active US SECRET Clearance.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Desired Experience
- AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus)
- Familiarity with GitOps practices
