The Impact You Will Have
As AVP, Senior Product Manager, you will serve as the Product Owner for Salesforce projects, acting as the voice of the customer and representing stakeholder needs across the organization. You will translate strategic goals into actionable product requirements, drive adoption through change enablement, and ensure the delivery of high-value CRM capabilities. By partnering with stakeholders, engineering, and vendor teams, you will influence product strategy, manage roadmaps, and deliver solutions that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and user satisfaction across Walker & Dunlop.
Primary Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business goals into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria tied to measurable outcomes.
- Maintain a transparent, prioritized backlog; balance short-term needs with long-term strategic investments.
- Define and report CRM success metrics (efficiency, adoption, data quality, user satisfaction) and use insights to guide prioritization.
- Collaborate with engineering, data/analytics, UX, and change teams to manage dependencies, reduce risk, and deliver incremental value each sprint.
- Drive enablement efforts (training, communications, readiness) to support adoption and organizational change.
- Evaluate new requests against priorities, technical constraints, and capacity; make informed investment decisions.
- Contribute to product strategy and quarterly/annual roadmaps; align prioritization with leadership expectations.
- Build and manage vendor relationships; coordinate design, testing, and integration of enterprise systems.
- Partner with business divisions (Production, Underwriting, Closing) to gather feedback, refine requirements, and validate solutions.
- Write clear acceptance criteria and validate that delivered functionality meets scope, performance, and security standards.
- Lead agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives); ensure sprint goals are met and deliverables validated.
- Communicate status, risks, and decisions through stakeholder forums, executive updates, and change management channels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 6+ years of experience as a Product Owner in an Agile software development environment.
- 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Prior programming or UI/UX design experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong analytical skills with ability to set KPIs/OKRs and use product analytics to drive decisions.
- Clear communicator with crisp documentation and strong executive storytelling skills.
- Expertise in backlog management, prioritization, and dependency management.
- Technical fluency in APIs, data models, and system integrations.
- Ownership mindset—resilient, curious, and action-oriented in ambiguity.
- Collaborative, respectful, and effective in multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong time management; delivers predictably under competing priorities.
- Knowledge of technologies preferred:
- Salesforce (Sales & Service), Privacy Center, Mulesoft, Box, Conga, Odeseva
- PostgreSQL, Google Cloud, Azure, BigQuery
- Mixpanel, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio
- DevOps tools (GitHub Actions, CI/CD, Google Cloud)
- JIRA, Slack, Zoom, Intercom
This position has an estimated base salary of $170,000 - $180,000 plus discretionary production incentives. An employment offer is based on the applicant’s relevant work experience, applicable knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
