Operational priorities for this role will be set in close partnership with Finance leadership.
The position will support finance transformation efforts focused on reducing cycle times, improving reporting quality, increasing automation, and enabling Finance to deliver better and faster business insight.
Success in this role will be measured not just by system stability, but by how effectively Adaptive and related planning infrastructure supports forecasting, budgeting, management reporting, scenario analysis, and broader decision-making across the business.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Partner directly with Finance leadership and users to facilitate design sessions, gather requirements, and configure solutions that improve planning, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis.
  • Design, configure, and maintain Adaptive models, sheets, versions, levels, dimensions, assumptions, allocations, and reporting structures.
  • Help drive the FP&A systems roadmap by identifying opportunities to improve process efficiency, reporting quality, planning accuracy, and user experience.
  • Monitor, maintain, and enhance system integrations, data uploads, and workflow alignment between Workday, Adaptive, and other relevant systems.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, and management reporting cycles through system readiness, data integrity, and timely issue resolution.
  • Partner with FP&A, Financial Systems, and other relevant stakeholders to support Finance priorities related to system adoption, reporting scalability, and finance enablement.
  • Help identify, design, and deploy opportunities to leverage AI via the native Adaptive tools (Predictive Forecaster & Anomaly Detection) as well as potential third-party applications to reduce manual work and improve finance process efficiency.
  • Document end-to-end processes, system configurations, business requirements, and control points.
  • Understand upstream and downstream data flows and coordinate with system owners to ensure alignment across finance technologies.
  • Communicate project status, issues, enhancements, and dependencies clearly to both Financial Systems and FP&A stakeholders.
  • Assist with broader Workday and other Financial Systems related tools as needed
  • Other activities as assigned by your manager.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 1+ years in a Senior Associate level role or external equivalent.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Workday Adaptive Planning, including model design, reporting, data integration, and ongoing administration.
  • Strong understanding of FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, scenario analysis, and planning cycle support.
  • Experience supporting a global finance organization across multiple stakeholders and time zones.
  • Ability to translate business planning and reporting requirements into scalable system solutions.
  • Experience working with distributed teams across India, Europe, and the U.S.
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with finance leadership, system owners, and business stakeholders.
  • Professional attitude with the ability to operate collaboratively, independently, and with a service mindset.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting finance transformation, system implementations, automation efforts, or reporting modernization initiatives preferred.
  • Workday, Adaptive, and broader finance systems experience in a complex, multi-entity environment preferred.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
