Role Summary/Purpose:
As a member of the Performance Marketing Center of Excellence, within the Synchrony Marketing organization, the AVP, Marketing Preference Center Marketing Integrations serves as the preference center platform expert within the Database Marketing organization for various marketing-related integrations.
As part of the Database Marketing team, this role will support Preference Center leadership in effectively developing and managing the platform/program and associated activities including customer experience and preference engagement and associated activities, including stakeholder experience and preference engagement.

Essential Responsibilities:
Act as the Marketing Preference Product Owner, offering analytical and strategic thinking, overseeing business needs and requirements, and translating needs and requirements into platform architecture and set-up
Work cross-functionally with internal and external partners to lead all product lifecycle activities relating to marketing integrations
Be the voice of Marketing Preferences and choice across the enterprise, consulting, leading and discussing preference initiatives across Synchrony leadership.
Establish and implement platform KPI's and conduct analysis of performance trends, provide insightful business performance reporting and make recommendations
Optimize consumers’ preference experience from choice to capture to action
Serve as product SME and 1st line contact for platform issues and support
Serve as Data Steward for all data associated with the Preference Center.
Facilitate key Scaled Agile Framework (“SAFe”) events as Product Owner of Marketing Preferences.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as required
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree OR in lieu of degree, high school diploma/GED and 8+ years experience working in large enterprise[s]
3+ years hands-on experience within Preference Management platforms and tools, managing consent management, privacy and marketing preference data highly desired
3+ years' experience in platform, product analytics or site/web analytics in B2C/ B2B2C frameworks
3+ years' experience as business analyst ('BA') or similar roles, analyzing data and presenting findings/ recommendations is highly desired
Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required
Desired Characteristics:
Bachelors degree or higher preferred in computer sciences, electrical or computer engineering, web design/ development or information technology/systems
Strong understanding of the U.S. Privacy, Preference and Consent landscape, including legal and regulatory policies, tools and platforms, and customer choice strategies.
Experience in software development, or solution engineering
Experience in data stewardship, data governance, or data management roles with strong understanding of data lifecycle management and data governance principles.
Demonstrated understanding and command of customer-facing platforms, user interface, applications or technologies, specifically within a privacy and/or marketing preference and consent platform.
Experience integration Agentic and/or Generative AI technologies, ideally within Marketing Technologies and/or Consent & Preference platforms.
Exceptional facilitation and communication skills. Ability to lead large meetings across various levels of leadership, manage conflicts, and ensure clear, effective communication between technical and business stakeholders.
Experience or association working with HTTP, SSO, SSL certificates, networking, API and micro-service integrations
Familiarity working with encryption and tokenization services to share data with Software as a service (SaaS) vendors.
Broad experience working with internal cross-functional partners (i.e., IT, Enterprise Operations) to ensure alignment of priorities and requirements
Experience developing road maps and prioritizing work in alignment with product vision and organizational strategy.
Ability to perform ad-hoc analysis, information gathering and delivered informed insights aggressive timelines
Proven experience synthesizing insights from structured analyses to inform business decisions and communicating with stakeholders in an effective manner
Strong skill in project management, communications, multi-tasking, ability to work independently, and relationship management are keys to success
Experience working directly with technology suppliers to oversee improvements, troubleshoot and governance
Highly motivated, assertive self-starter with the ability to work autonomously or as a strong team participant
Certified SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (SAFe POPM) 4.6 and higher
Experienced with consumer financial services, ideally with exposure to credit card marketing or retail marketing, and familiar with consumer protection, privacy and related laws and policies.
Grade/Level: 11
The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
