The AVP of Business Process Reengineering (BPR) plays a critical supporting role in advancing MetLife's BPR strategy by translating enterprise transformation priorities into scalable workstreams. This leader will partner closely with the VP of BPR to execute initiatives that simplify customer experiences, streamline operations, and drive sustainable cost savings and process efficiency. The AVP will serve as an operational integrator, enabling execution by leading workstream design, cross-functional mobilization, and progress tracking against defined outcomes.

The expected salary range for this position is $180K to $215K. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.

This leader will partner closely with the VP of BPR to execute initiatives that simplify customer experiences, streamline operations, and drive sustainable cost savings and process efficiency. The AVP will serve as an operational integrator, enabling execution by leading workstream design, cross-functional mobilization, and progress tracking against defined outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the VP of BPR to prioritize and activate transformation workstreams across Global Service and Operations.
- Support the development and application of human-centered design and process reengineering methodologies.
- Lead the execution of assigned strategic initiatives across Claims, Call Centers, and other operational areas.
- Support business case development and benefit realization tracking to demonstrate measurable impact.
- Drive stakeholder alignment through the development of executive-ready materials and coordinated communication.
- Manage critical dependencies across business, technology, and risk teams to accelerate solution implementation.
- Develop project delivery standards and templates in partnership with PMO and Operational Excellence teams.
- Coach and manage junior team members or workstream leads to ensure capability development and delivery rigor.
- Contribute to internal capability-building efforts for the broader BPR function (e.g., training, playbooks, knowledge management).
- Serve as proxy for the VP in select steering committees and stakeholder engagements.
Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in transformation, operations strategy, or process improvement, with demonstrated success in execution.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through ambiguity to deliver outcomes on time and within budget.
- Skilled in synthesizing complex information and communicating effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in business case modeling, KPI development, and benefit realization.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities.
- High emotional intelligence, collaboration skills, and the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
