About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced ETF Specialist to join our Business Development team.  This role will focus on managing the full sales cycle for business-to-business engagement with Asset Managers and ETF Entrepreneurs, with the goal of driving revenue growth and expanding our client base.


The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in financial services, specifically with a strong knowledge of ETFs and broad knowledge of various types and styles of investment strategies.  You will be supported by the senior members of the Business Development team as engagements become more technical and challenging throughout the lifecycle.

What you'll do

Prospecting:

  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients including asset managers, RIAs, hedge funds and entrepreneurs.

Sales Cycle Management:

  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments, prospect evaluation, and sales presentations.
  • Prepare and present proposals, provide education on ETF industry mechanics and requirements, negotiate terms, and close sales agreements.

Relationship Building:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with prospects.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Stay updated on ETF industry trends, market conditions, regulations and competitor activities.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.
  • Develop and maintain regular reports on entire Business Development team performance, metrics, and pipeline status.

Support

  • Assist Senior Business Development Representative with high profile prospects when needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong focus on ETF operations, trading, capital markets or business development and sales.
  • In-depth knowledge of Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) and their market applications.
  • Preferred to have an understanding of the ETF ecosystem, capital markets, trading and product development. 
  • Proven track record of successfully managing the full sales cycle and achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Requires attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, DocuSign and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in MorningStar Direct or Bloomberg a plus. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to excel and learn in a remote apprenticeship environment.
