Who We Want
The Automation Engineer will develop, execute, and troubleshoot automated and manual tests to ensure product quality. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining automated tests as well as designing and implementing manual tests. This role will conduct automated testing during product development and product launches and conduct manual testing as needed. Ultimately, this role will monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability
- Design, develop, and execute automation tests with selenium
- Own analyzing, solving, and correcting issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end
- Liaise with internal & external teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify and understand system requirements to develop the best automation solutions
- Perform manual regression as needed
- Maintain and enhance existing test suites to improve test coverage, efficiency, and reliability
- Review modifications to existing automation tests
- Review incoming automation tests
- Analyze test case results and provide meaningful feedback
- Collaborate across teams to continually work towards developing a successful automation test suite that increases efficiency and effectiveness
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs in Jira
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in Automation/QA
- Can independently write and maintain test cases in test case management tools
- Can independently develop, automate, and maintain automated test cases
- Basic knowledge of Azure Devops, Git, SQL, Jira, API’s, Selenium, Selenium Grid, C#, SQL, and Visual Studio/VS Code
- Basic knowledge of how general automation frameworks work
- Ability to analyze test results and take appropriate action towards resolution
- Ability to work with teams across domains to ensure test coverage
- Ability to create meaningful scripts to automate work
- Ability to work with development teams for system requirements
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
