We are building a four-person team, one Lead Auditor and three Auditors, to conduct fully remote internal (first-party) audits for a multinational client. You will work with a Lead Auditor under the technical direction of an experienced international audit partner, which provides the audit program, checklists, and report templates. The client is planning a multi-year internal audit program, so strong performance on this project can lead to ongoing work.

About the Opportunity

  • Engagement Type: Project-based contract with a fixed project fee, with potential for a multi-year program
  • Work Arrangement: 100% remote within the U.S.
  • Schedule: Alignment session in late October or early November; audits from November through mid-December 2026. Estimated effort is about 2 to 2.5 working days in total, including the alignment session and reporting.
  • Time Zones: Audit sessions are held in the U.S. morning to overlap with Zurich.

Positions Available

Each Auditor covers two or three processes based on their qualifications:

  • Compliance & Commercial (ISO 37001 / 37301): sales, procurement, and internal audit and compliance
  • Information Security & Business Support (ISO 27001): IT, finance, and HR
  • Operations & Sustainability (ISO 14001 / 45001): engineering, construction site management and maintenance, and sustainability reporting

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend an alignment session with the audit partner on the client’s context, activities, and reporting.
  • Conduct internal (first-party) audits of your assigned processes using the audit partner’s checklists, with interviews of up to 3 hours per process, including review of supporting evidence.
  • Record evidence by reference and classify findings as nonconformities, observations, or opportunities for improvement, citing the requirement and the evidence.
  • Complete the checklists and your section of the audit report in the partner’s templates, and submit them to the Lead Auditor on time.
  • Answer follow-up questions on your findings.

Required Qualifications

  • Lead Auditor or Auditor qualification through IRCA, Exemplar Global, or an equivalent recognized organization, on at least one of the following standards, ideally matching one of the positions above:

    • ISO 37301 – Compliance Management
    • ISO 27001 – Information Security Management
  • At least three audits conducted within the last three years, with the ability to provide the standards and industries/sectors covered.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting internal/first-party audits.
  • Experience auditing procurement, sales, and/or compliance processes.
  • Fluent English, spoken and written.
  • Availability for remote sessions compatible with Zurich time zones.
  • Willingness to sign a conflict-of-interest declaration before interviewing and, if selected, a personal confidentiality undertaking.
  • Availability for a technical interview with the audit partner.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Qualifications on more than one standard, or integrated management system (IMS) audit experience.
  • Experience with ISO 37001 and/or ISO 37301.
  • Experience within the energy, utilities, industrial, construction, or natural resources sectors.
  • Experience working on international or geographically distributed audit engagements.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19011 audit guidelines.

Working Requirements

  • Work only on the platforms designated by the audit partner or the client.
  • Use a secure device with up-to-date security software, encryption, and multi-factor authentication.
  • Do not store client information locally or on personal accounts, and do not enter it into public AI tools.
  • Do not record audit sessions without written authorization.

Selection Process

  • Screening call with our recruiting team.
  • Conflict-of-interest declaration, signed before the technical interview.
  • Technical interview with the audit partner.
  • If selected: engagement agreement and personal confidentiality undertaking.
  • Alignment session with the audit partner before the first audit.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
