We are seeking an experienced Atlassian Migration Lead to drive complex enterprise migration projects within the Atlassian ecosystem. This role is responsible for managing large-scale data migrations from Jira Data Center to Cloud, as well as consolidating external enterprise tools (such as ServiceNow, Rally, and Azure DevOps) into Jira. The Atlassian Migration Lead will serve as the critical liaison between technical Solution Architects and client stakeholders, ensuring that technical requirements are translated into actionable project plans delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Migration Delivery: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise migrations, guiding teams through Discovery, Data Mapping, Execution, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Go-Live.
- Technical Risk Management: Proactively identify and escalate technical blockers (e.g., app compatibility issues, undefined configuration mappings) before they impact project timelines.
- Scope & Budget Control: Rigidly manage the Statement of Work (SOW). Safeguard project scope by ensuring client requests for additional features are handled via formal Change Orders, preventing scope creep.
- Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex technical status updates into clear, actionable business language for client executives. Manage expectations during critical cutover periods.
- Agile Governance: Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives for the technical delivery team to maintain high velocity and swiftly remove blockers.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5 to 8+ years of technical project management experience, with a focus on software implementation, systems integration, or complex data migrations.
- Atlassian Expertise: Familiarity with the Atlassian suite is required, including understanding core architectural differences between Data Center and Cloud, standard project configurations, and common marketplace apps.
- External Tool Integration: Proven experience managing projects involving the migration or integration of non-Atlassian legacy tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Rally, Azure DevOps, VersionOne) is highly preferred.
- Consulting Acumen: Strong grasp of consulting economics, including managing billable hours, resource utilization, and fixed-price contract delivery
- Leadership Skills: Excellent stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to push back firmly but professionally on scope creep, while keeping internal teams aligned and focused.
Preferred Qualifications:
