Planned Systems International, Inc. (PSI) is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Athletic Training Sourcer to join our established internal Corporate Talent Acquisition team to support the hiring and staffing efforts for our nationwide military health and human performance programs. This opportunity is ideal for Certified Athletic Trainers (ATCs) who are passionate about the profession and interested in transitioning into a rewarding recruiting and talent acquisition career while continuing to support fellow athletic trainers nationwide.

In this role, you will leverage your athletic training background, professional network, and understanding of the athletic training profession to identify, engage, and build relationships with Certified Athletic Trainers supporting our rapidly growing military health and human performance programs across the country. You will partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and program leadership to develop talent pipelines and connect qualified athletic trainers with meaningful career opportunities that support soldier readiness, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and overall performance for our nation's active-duty military personnel.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
  • Source and identify Certified Athletic Trainers (ATCs) for nationwide military health and human performance programs.
  • Utilize your understanding of the athletic training profession to proactively engage qualified candidates and build long-term talent pipelines.
  • Conduct targeted searches using professional networks, social media platforms, databases, referrals, and industry-specific resources.
  • Build and maintain relationships within the athletic training community through professional associations, universities, networking groups, conferences, and online communities.
  • Conduct initial outreach and candidate engagement activities to assess interest, qualifications, and availability.
  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop sourcing strategies.
  • Maintain and nurture candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Attend virtual and in-person recruiting events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand candidate networks.
  • Create candidate profiles, sourcing summaries, and market intelligence reports for recruiters and hiring teams.
  • Support recruitment marketing initiatives and employer branding efforts targeting athletic training professionals.
  • Maintain accurate sourcing activity and candidate records within the applicant tracking system (ATS) and CRM tools.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, OFCCP requirements, company policies, and recruiting best practices.
  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitive talent landscapes within athletic training and healthcare staffing.
  • Participate in recruiting team meetings and contribute to sourcing strategy discussions.
  • Support additional talent acquisition projects and workforce planning initiatives across PSI and its subsidiaries as needed.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
  • Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) credential strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer, healthcare recruiter, talent sourcer, or in a relationship-driven professional role preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with candidates across various levels of experience as well as internal stakeholders.
  • Interest in recruiting, talent acquisition, workforce planning, and career development.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to learn sourcing technologies, recruiting platforms, and applicant tracking systems.
  • Professional, team-oriented mindset with strong customer service skills.
  • Occasional travel will be required for conferences, recruiting events, or orientations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with military, tactical, collegiate, industrial, or sports performance populations.
  • Previous sourcing, recruiting, staffing, business development, or talent acquisition experience.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS), preferably iCIMS.
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other candidate relationship management (CRM) tools.
  • Existing network within the athletic training profession.
  • Experience attending or participating in NATA or athletic training conferences/events.
  • Familiarity with passive candidate sourcing and talent mapping strategies.
  • Government contracting or healthcare staffing experience is a plus.
