About Super Age & The Role

Super Age is a new consumer brand focus on vital longevity – the lifestyle associated with living a long and happy life. Our flagship newsletter, The Mindset, has over 1M subscribers. This year we are launching two ambitious new offerings: a flagship IRL fitness competition called the Super Age Games, and a versatile training hub called The Super Age Standard. Both of these offerings will welcome a new type of community member into our world: Super Age athletes, people who are training and competing using our methodology, protocols, and objectives.

As the Athlete Experience Lead at Super Age, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the journeys of our athletes participating in our immersive IRL event – the Super Age Games – and our digital community training platform, The Standard. Your responsibility will be to ensure that every athlete feels valued, supported, and empowered as they engage with our brand, extending their healthspan through engagement without content and offerings, and enhancing their overall experience. You will be both a partner to, and advocate for, our athletes as we design programming and offerings for them.

This role requires a dedicated individual with a passion for athletics and longevity, an innate stance of hospitality and service mindset, and a love of experience design to help develop offerings that inspire and retain our athletes. You will work closely with our executive team, event production partner(s), and community leaders and brand allies, to fostering a culture of inclusivity and motivation for our athlete community.

What You Will Own in 2026
1. Athlete Onboarding and Engagement: Super Age Games
  • Objective: Create a seamless onboarding experience for athletes registering for the Super Age Games, including special attention to the Champion [premium] pass holders.
  • Execution: You will own and drive the development of onboarding materials, design and facilitate welcome flows and community experiences, and create personalized communication plans to engage athletes before, during, and after their event experience.
2. The Standard: Engagement & Development
  • Objectives: 1) Own user communication and product tweaks to get our intended user behavior on our training platform, the Standard; 2) Inform product development roadmap based on user behavior.
  • Execution: Collaborate with our entire team to make sure our users are getting the value of the platform, and drive discussions and roadmapping about how we build out the platform to drive maximum value to our community.
3. Community Building
  • Goal: Foster a strong community among our athletes that encourages support, friendship, and collaboration.
  • Execution: Organize social events, create community forums, and facilitate group activities. Maintain engagement through newsletters, our consumer platform, and social media interactions.

Requirements
  • Athletic Background: You have a deep passion for athletics, sports participation, or coaching, as well as a strong understanding of athlete needs and experiences.
  • Experience Design & Hospitality Expertise: You have experience in designing and hosting events, and understand how small details shape one's experience, including digital events.
  • Consumer Product/App Experience: You have experience owning product and/or community management workflows for a consumer app, ideally related to fitness. You have a strong sense of how to use user behavior data, user feedback, and product objectives to inform new features that lead to product engagement, momentum, and growth.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Your verbal and written communication skills are excellent, enabling you to connect with athletes on various levels.

You can perform this role from anywhere in the USA, though a preference will be given to candidates located on the East Coast and those in/near New York City for closer collaboration with our executive team.

Benefits

Autonomy: You own the athlete experience function, because you are the athlete experience function. You will have a direct hand in bringing Super Age to life for thousands of people. This is a team where you will get the resources and authority that you need to work your magic, you will not be held back or micromanaged here.

Structure. This role is intended to begin as a part-time contract, before ramping into full-time later this year or early next year. We are open to starting as full-time for the perfect fit. For both contract/fractional and full time, pay will be a split between competitive base rate based on your background and performance bonuses based on milestones/outcomes.
Once full-time version of this role will have perks and benefits, including health insurance, vision, dental, and eligibility for equity etc.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
