Location: Alhambra, CA (Onsite)
Job Summary:
Seeking a full-time Associate Test Engineer who will report to the Director of Wafer Production. The Individual in this role will be able to setup and implement automated production test stations for fiberoptics laser alignment and test systems in a manufacturing environment and for handling the shipment of these test systems for CM production. Besides the task above, his duty will include supporting as a maintenance engineer on the production floor and being able to troubleshoot day-to-day production test stations’ problems.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for setting up production test stations from designed schematic and drawings. Must be able to functional test the stations with applicable test software. (30%)
- Will also take responsible as a test technician role to support backend production needs. (10%)
- Understand the manufacturing test failures, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and correction on the production test stations. (30%)
- Work closely with the chip design scientist to support testing new products on stations. (30%)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or Photonics/Optical Engineering or a closely related field
- Foundational understanding of III-V compound semiconductors and how they differ from silicon-based devices
- Exposure to optoelectronic or photonic devices (lasers, photodetectors, modulators) is a strong plus at even the associate level
- Basic familiarity with wafer-level testing, probe stations, and electro-optical characterization
- Understanding of RF/high-frequency measurement concepts if the role touches that side
- Cleanroom experience or willingness to work in one
- Strong attention to detail

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is 72,000- 91,000. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
