Job Description

This job posting relates to a job opportunity at GSA Management, LLC, a vertically integrated self-storage acquisition, development and management company owned by Ares.

Position Summary

This Associate will support the Real Estate Self Storage team in the management of investment portfolios, conducting in-depth financial analyses, and preparing reports on portfolio performance and market trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing investment portfolios, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and performance benchmarks
  • Conduct in-depth financial analyses, including cash flow modeling, valuation assessments, and performance tracking
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports on portfolio performance, market trends, and investment opportunities for internal stakeholders and limited partners
  • Participate in the due diligence process for potential investments, analyzing financial statements, market conditions, and risk factors
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including acquisitions, finance, fundraising, and operations, to align firm strategies
  • Participate in the full lifecycle of debt procurement for properties, including supporting negotiation of term sheets and loan agreements, managing the due diligence process, and coordinating all aspects of the deal through to closing

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an undergraduate institution, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in real estate investment banking, principal investing, or a related financial field
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and valuation techniques
  • Advanced MS Excel modeling skills and proficiency in MS PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and driven; ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest and familiarity with AI models and applications, and their use in a day-to-day capacity

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.

$110,000.00 - $130,000.00
