Sales & Customer Operations Specialist

As the Regional Sales Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence across assigned sales territories. This position serves as a key operational partner to regional sales teams, coordinating order execution, customer communication, and internal processes to ensure a seamless experience from order initiation through delivery and installation.

Acting as a central liaison between sales, customers, logistics, and internal departments, this role ensures that orders move efficiently through the organization while maintaining a high standard of customer service and operational accuracy.

This role blends sales operations, customer support, and order management responsibilities to improve the effectiveness of the regional sales organization and deliver a premium customer experience.

The position reports to the Sales Support Manager and is based in San Diego, CA.

Success will look like (first 12 momths)

  • Have customer orders are processed quickly and accurately with minimal revisions or corrections.
  • Orders move smoothly from entry through fulfillment with proactive monitoring and minimal delays.
  • Territory sales representatives receive timely updates on order status, documentation, and customer needs.
  • CRM systems remain accurate and up-to-date, improving pipeline visibility and sales coordination.
  • Customers receive clear communication on order timelines, installation coordination, and product expectations.
  • Post-delivery follow-ups ensure customers feel supported and confident with their purchase.
  • Strong relationships are built with logistics, warehouse, production, and internal support teams.
  • Order-related issues or delays are quickly identified and resolved through proactive coordination.
  • Territory leaders rely on the role for operational insights, account support, and quote preparation.
  • Leads and inbound inquiries are routed efficiently to the appropriate sales representatives.

As a Sales & Customer Operations Specialist you will have the opportunity to:

Order Management & Fulfillment Coordination
  • Manage the full lifecycle of customer orders from entry and validation through production coordination, shipment, and delivery.
  • Verify order accuracy including product configuration, pricing, and required documentation prior to releasing orders to operations.
  • Monitor open orders daily to ensure timely progression through internal systems and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and production teams to ensure orders ship on schedule and meet customer requirements.
  • Track shipping timelines, communicate order status updates to customers, and ensure fulfillment milestones are met.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of order changes, returns, adjustments, and special requirements to ensure clean operational records.
Customer Support & Experience
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding order updates, product questions, installation coordination, and post-purchase support.
  • Provide clear communication regarding lead times, product availability, shipment expectations, and installation scheduling.
  • Support product onboarding by helping customers understand hardware and software setup requirements and usage expectations.
  • Coordinate internally to resolve escalations related to order issues, delivery delays, technical questions, or post-delivery needs.
  • Deliver a high-touch experience for priority accounts through proactive communication and attentive service.
  • Conduct follow-up communication after delivery or installation to ensure customer satisfaction.
Sales Operations & Quote Support
  • Prepare and process product, installation, and design quotes for assigned territories with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Partner with territory sales representatives to support order execution, documentation needs, and payment coordination.
  • Maintain and update CRM and order management systems to ensure accurate sales pipeline visibility and customer records.
  • Review customer accounts and order activity to identify potential product additions or follow-up opportunities.
  • Support territory sales teams by helping manage lead tracking, customer records, and CRM updates throughout the sales cycle.
  • Serve as an initial contact for inbound customer inquiries and coordinate follow-up engagement with the appropriate territory sales representative.

You have:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain products and processes to customers.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple orders, projects, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to resolve complex customer and operational scenarios.
  • Customer service or sales operations experience in a technical, hardware, or high-touch environment preferred.
  • Experience using CRM platforms, order management systems, and standard business productivity tools.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and support multiple regional sales territories.
  • Passion for golf and/or the outdoor performance industry is a plus.

Pay Range:

Annual Salary: $55,000.00 - $66,000.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
