About The Roll*

We’re looking for an Associate Product Designer for POS Innovation. You will help design experiences that connect in-store restaurant operations with real-time data through LLMs, AI agents, voice and even video. Toast sits at the intersection of hospitality and data. Every order placed, dish served, and table turned generates insights that can unlock smarter operations and more personalized guest experiences. This is a role on a fast paced team focused on using innovation to drive impact. Your work will help restaurants deliver better service and make smarter decisions to deliver exceptional hospitality at scale. 


We’re looking for a motivated designer who is eager to learn,  always asks questions, owns the quality of their work, and collaborates at every opportunity. This individual will grow their skills with guidance from a mentor while working on intuitive experiences that make a difference and “Do right by the customer.” We seek a teammate dedicated to our mission; helping restaurants do what they love and thrive.


The right ingredients* (Requirements)

  • 1-2 years of experience in a product design role
  • Proficient in designing for responsive web and native mobile platforms including wireframes, user journey maps, prototypes and detailed designs
  • Ability to work with UI components to create pixel perfect experiences
  • Experience using Figma and other prototyping and design collaboration tools
  • Enough user research fluency to plan and conduct research that generates actionable insights
  • Understand how to conduct design reviews to obtain feedback and iterate on designs to improve results
  • Proactive about seeking out guidance and mentorship from others
  • Able to work in a fast-paced hybrid work environment and independently manage tasks

  • Experience (or deep interest) in applying AI technologies to real-world product experiences

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions, if eligible), benefits, and equity (if eligible).

$90,000$144,000 USD
