We are seeking an organized, proactive professional with 3+ years of game development experience—ideally in AAA or live-service environments—to drive critical publishing workstreams as part of a broader Publishing Production team. In this role, you will leverage your understanding of the development lifecycle and experience with tools to keep projects on track, acting as a "trusted expert" on our games, and a bridge of organizational clarity between development and publishing teams.

What You Will Do:

Responsibilities in this role could include:

  • Leading publishing workstreams such as Age Ratings, User Research and Localisation, ensuring our development teams are supported and can meet their internal milestones on time, on budget and to quality
  • Leading asset approval process across in-game content, covering aspects such as licensor and legal approval
  • Supporting QA and 1st Party Submissions pipelines, ensuring timely delivery of launch content and post-launch patches
  • Collaborating with 2K Product Management team on production tasks relating to live ops - e.g. content allocation and testing coordination
  • Partnering with our Sports Business Unit internally, ensuring our Marketing and Commercial teams can operate with organizational clarity in their own functional areas
  • Acting as a “trusted expert” for the games you work on - understanding their mechanics, gameplay loops and overall content in depth
  • Travel, both domestic and international, may be required

What Will Make You a Great Fit:

  • 2+ years experience in internal or external game development, ideally on AAA and/or Live Service games
  • Previous experience in project management and production
  • Strong communication skills - you can easily translate technical development speak into clear updates for non-technical teams, both verbally and written
  • Quick learner - you are able to pick up new tools, technologies and processes quickly, and ask for support in a structured way if you get blocked
  • Adept at relationship-building - you are reliable, trustworthy and instill a sense of confidence in our development partners
  • Awareness of the gaming market - you are up to date with current industry trends as they relate to our own games
  • Understanding of the game development lifecycle - you know, at a high level, the milestones required to take a game from inception to global launch
  • Highly coachable - you proactively seek constructive feedback from peers and operate with a growth mindset
  • “No Ego” approach - you proactively seek constructive feedback, operate with a growth mindset, and believe that when the product succeeds, the whole team wins

What Tools You’ll Have Experience With:

  • Adept with Google Suite, especially Sheets, Slides and Docs
  • Adept with Microsoft Outlook
  • Experience with Jira

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with golf - both the sport itself and the surrounding culture

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
