In the Payment Accuracy portfolio, our mission is reduce administrative expense, reduce abrasion and create a better patient experience by shifting actionable insights left in the claim lifecycle. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Payment Accuracy team as a Payment Accuracy Solution Consultant.  This role is part of an evolution in our Solutions Engineering approach, moving from generalist support to deep, domain-specific expertise, and will play a critical role in accelerating growth in a complex and highly specialized market.

This individual will work in close partnership with sales, account management, strategy, product, and technology teams to grow our Payment Accuracy business, particularly across payer-focused accounts, both pre- and post-sale. The successful candidate will ultimately be accountable for driving net new revenue growth, while also expanding and retaining customer relationships through deep technical and domain expertise.

This role requires a blend of technical acumen, payment accuracy (payment integrity, claims processing) knowledge, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and excellent relationship-building and communication capabilities. More importantly, this individual will serve as a trusted domain expert who can confidently engage with customers on complex claims workflows, payment integrity strategies, and interoperability challenges, while reducing reliance on product teams in customer-facing situations.

To be qualified for this position you:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Information Technology, healthcare or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working at a health plan, a health technology company serving health plans, or in healthcare consulting serving health plans
  • Demonstrated success in contributing to or directly driving revenue growth in a customer-facing, technical, or consultative role
  • Deep expertise in payment accuracy use cases, claims workflows, claims adjudication, or related payer operations
  • Strong technical orientation, including APIs, interoperability, and data exchange concepts
  • Proficiency in claims data processing and standards (e.g., X12, FHIR), with the ability to articulate challenges and solutions
  • Proven ability to engage in customer-facing, presales or consultative conversations, partnering effectively with sales teams
  • Experience collaborating across sales, account management, product, and technology organizations
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

You will set yourself apart with:

  • Familiarity with claims data processing and data standards (e.g., X12, FHIR)
  • Familiarity with other administrative workflows (e.g. Prior Auth)
  • API/interoperability best practices, platform mindset
  • Payment Accuracy, Payment Integrity or Revenue Cycle Management Experience

You will be:

  • Driving top-line revenue growth by advancing payment accuracy sales opportunities in close collaboration with sales and account management teams
  • Serving as a technical and domain SME during sales engagements, particularly in payer-focused deals involving claims and payment integrity workflows
  • Partnering closely with product teams to stay aligned on current capabilities and future roadmap direction, and bringing that knowledge into customer conversations
  • Delivering compelling presentations and demos of Availity payment accuracy solutions to prospective and current customers
  • Leading solution design and consultative discussions that map customer workflows to Availity platform capabilities
  • Developing technical solution proposals, including data flows, integrations, and architecture considerations
  • Supporting RFP responses in collaboration with proposal and growth teams
  • Participating in pilot engagements and presenting insights tied to payment accuracy use cases
  • Acting as a bridge between sales, product, and customer stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clarity throughout the sales cycle
  • Advising customers on technical strategy, integration approaches, and implementation considerations
  • Supporting account management teams in driving customer success, retention, and expansion
  • Translating complex technical concepts into clear, business-relevant narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences
