About the Role:

We are seeking an Associate Partner – IBA & Credit Control to join Augment Risk. The role will be to oversee the day-to-day hands-on management of Insurance Broking Accounts (IBA) within Augment Risk. This role acts as the key link between Finance and Broking Operations, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of premium and claims funds, effective credit control, and compliance with regulatory and internal accounting standards.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience within reinsurance broking accounts and a proven ability to work on complex financial transactions while building strong relationships across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end hands-on management of Insurance Broking Accounts (IBA). 
  • Act as the primary liaison between Finance, broking and Client Solutions to ensure efficient processing of financial transactions. 
  • Monitor and manage collections, ensuring timely receipt of funds from clients and brokers. 
  • Ensure prompt settlement of balances. 
  • Allocate incoming cash accurately across multiple accounts and transactions. 
  • Perform regular account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. 
  • Lead credit control activities, proactively managing aged debt and improving cash collection performance. 
  • Work closely with brokers, finance teams and external counterparties to resolve accounting queries. 
  • Monitor cash flow across broking accounts and identify potential risks or delays. 
  • Ensure compliance with FCA CASS rules, internal controls and company policies (where applicable). 
  • Produce management information and reports relating to aged debt, cash allocation, reconciliations and outstanding balances. 
  • Support process improvements and drive efficiencies. 


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years' hands-on, operational experience within Insurance Broking Accounts (IBA). 
  • Strong experience within the reinsurance broking market. 
  • Excellent understanding of premium accounting, cash allocation and reconciliations. 
  • Proven experience in credit control and debt management. 
  • Strong understanding of broking accounting processes and financial controls. 
  • Ability to work effectively between Finance and Operations teams. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
