The Boeing Chief Aerospace Safety Office (CASO) is seeking an Associate (Level 2) or Mid-Level (Level 3) Certification Engineer - Post-Production Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness to join our team in Long Beach, CA.
Primary responsibilities:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The Boeing Chief Aerospace Safety Office (CASO) is seeking an Associate (Level 2) or Mid-Level (Level 3) Certification Engineer - Post-Production Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness to join our team in Long Beach, CA.
Primary responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the enterprise Safety Management System in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (including 14 CFR Part 5 where applicable).
- Leads the identification, analysis, and assessment of regulatory and contractual compliance of aerospace systems, products and services.
- Leads collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to define, validate, and integrate airworthiness and regulatory compliance requirements; incorporates into designs, operations, and procedures.
- Reviews complex regulatory and customer requirements and evaluates impact to company products and services.
- Leads analysis of regulatory and certification technical data for completeness and alignment to applicable regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Leads development of a compliance statement for the airworthiness of aerospace systems and products.
- Researches, investigates and monitors compliance processes or reported in-service fleet issues for achieving regulatory compliance and recommends and leads process improvements or corrective actions.
- Engages with regulators on complex programs or initiatives to shape certification strategies, approaches, activities, and artifacts.
- Partners with regulatory authorities to complete validation of airworthiness to applicable requirements as authorized.
- Provides advanced technical support, training, tools and resources to the delegated approval organization.
- Develops, reviews, and maintains complex compliance reports and documents in accordance with applicable requirements and regulations.
- Leads establishing and promoting global regulatory advocacy strategies, trainings, tools, and methods.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Level 2: 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of experience in Project Management
- Experience functioning in a cross-functional environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
- Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college
- Experience with product Certification Systems, CFR Part 25
- Open-minded and comfortable working in a teaming environment while being a champion for regulatory initiatives, objectives and milestones
- Willingness to consider and investigate alternate proposals in support of a "never fail" spirit
- Experience working with aviation regulatory agency requirements (FAA, JAA, EASA, etc) or any regulatory agency
- Proven integration and communication skills, as well as demonstrated experience in project leadership
- Willingness to expand into technical areas without prior experience
- Desire to continuously improve and support our airplanes and teammates
