Introduction to Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions
The Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions (MASS) team is the investment group at the heart of BlackRock's portfolio construction, asset allocation, and active management ecosystem. MASS draws on the full toolkit of BlackRock’s index, factor, and alpha-seeking investment capabilities to deliver precise investment outcomes and cutting-edge alpha insights. MASS constructs active asset allocation strategies and whole portfolio solutions across a wide spectrum of commingled funds, separate accounts, model portfolios, and outsourcing solutions in the wealth and institutional channels. Currently, MASS manages over $1 trillion in assets and has a strong presence in the United States, Europe, and Asia Pacific region.

Position Overview:
BlackRock’s Models Infrastructure team is at the heart of evolving the model’s platform and elevating the client experience through strong governance and cross-functional leadership on behalf of the investment teams in MASS. As the Models business continues to grow, we’re expanding to meet increasing demand and accelerate key initiatives.
This hybrid role positions you at the center of our US business, where you'll collaborate with various partners to improve the Model Portfolios platform. The role will focus on coordinating platform and technology development, driving process improvements, and ensuring seamless execution across multiple projects. In parallel, it will support day-to-day business activities, including our rapidly evolving custom model solutions business.

Key Responsibilities:
Model Portfolio Platform Oversight
Partner with USWA and MASS Investment teams to coordinate vital business functions such as model launch activity and
Serve as a subject matter authority in Models, including investment strategies, service offerings, and platform capabilities.
Administer monitoring protocols to independently assess infrastructure resilience across platform domains.
Partner with Sales and Service to monitor new placements and ensure adherence to best practices.
Represent MASS in cross-functional teams supporting all platform activities—ensuring regional processes align with global standards.
Triage and resolve production challenges, handle partner concerns, and maintain a clear runbook for owned activities
Business Analysis, Process Design and Project/Program Management
Lead strategic initiatives—including those involving technology delivery—that strengthen and evolve the investment operating platform within MASS, driving innovation and scalability across the business.
Assist in the planning and delivery of other projects and programs, ensuring alignment with best platform practice, commercial priorities, and broader business goals.
Gather and analyze business requirements to improve processes and systems especially focused on delivering ease for Strategist and Portfolio Managers
Develop and implement oversight procedures to evaluate infrastructure adaptability, incorporating new processes throughout the models ecosystem in collaboration with Infrastructure partners
Assist in the planning and delivery of other projects and programs, ensuring alignment with commercial priorities and broader business goals.
Governance & Communication
Support governance activities across the platform in partnership with others including ensuring the overall health of the ecosystem
Prepare and deliver communications and materials to stakeholders, articulating findings, recommendations, process, progress, etc. (Written and Verbal)
Qualifications:
Proven experience in asset management or financial services, with exposure to multiple asset classes (Fixed Income, Equities, Alternatives).
Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation—with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
Strong organizational and program management skills; able to manage multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
Technical proficiency in Excel, SQL, Tableau, and data visualization; familiarity with VBA or Python is strongly preferred
Proficiency and ability in business process analysis, design, and documentation.
Self-starter with a collaborative approach; thrives in a multifaceted, global environment.
Strong interest in learning and using Aladdin; prior experience is advantageous.
