The Brand Partnerships team is part of the Global Franchise Organization responsible for spearheading the company’s growth through strategic partnerships and corporate and brand alliances.

Job Description

The Opportunity: 

The Associate Manager will build and maintain strategic partnerships that drive business growth and create mutually beneficial opportunities for the partners and Mattel. This role will develop our brand partner and alliances network, identify opportunities, and drive revenue goals. The Manager will collaborate closely to build partner strategies across new and existing brand verticals.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive brand partnership and alliances strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Identify, prioritize, and pursue potential partners and opportunities and strategic alliances.
  • Oversee the entire partnership lifecycle, from initial discussions to contract negotiation and implementation.
  • Collaborate with leaders across Mattel Film and TV Teams, Consumer Products, Global Brand Teams, Entertainment Partnerships/In Licensing, Interpreted Marketing Creative,) to ensure integrated strategies and successful execution.

Market Expansion & Revenue Growth:

  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform partnership and alliance strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new distribution channels.
  • Develop and execute business development plans, including finding and nurturing relationships that contribute to the company’s revenue and profitability targets.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements, including terms, pricing, and licensing models, ensuring alignment with company goals and policies.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of partnership and alliances initiatives.
  • Work closely with finance leaders to align partnership agreements with financial goals and policies.

Leadership:

  • Communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities to the Franchise Leadership team and other key stakeholders.
  • Leading, mentoring and developing their team
  • Collaborate with Sr. Manager, Global Marketing in gaining buy-in for global product strategies at all levels, as well as executional commitment from internal partners to activate across key markets and key lines of business

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For: 

  • 5+ years (2 years with MBA) experience in marketing, business development
  • Expertise in strategy development, integrated marketing, and brand management
  • Creative storyteller with the ability to influence and inspire others to see a brands full potential
  • Ability to synthesize data and pull insights to create recommendations
  • Strong skills presenting in front of large groups
  • Highly organized, adaptable to autonomy and detail oriented with strong follow up skills
  • Strong relationship builder with both internal and external partners
  • International business/global marketing experience 
  • High competence in project and stakeholder management
  • Strong PowerPoint creation and presentation skills, proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel
